They don't even try. I know we aren't "good at defense", but the effort is just pathetic. It's even more apparent when you sit back and watch everyone else play. Pat is the worst. Watching him slap at guards coming down the lane and not putting his body in front of them is pathetic. Outside of Rebraca, this team wouldn't take a charge if they were a plugged in toaster oven in a bathtub. Tony just lets guys drive right by him every time down the court. Connor legit can't stay in front of guys, bless his slow soul. Finally Ulis, why does he even play. I can't find one good thing he does. Overhaul this team with some men. That's my dumb rant.

This is on Fran. It's frustrating b/c it's mostly effort based. Patrick needs to get some of his brother in him. Connor may not be the most gifted basketball player but he plays with toughness. I like Fran but his lack of defense is equivalent to Iowa football offense. Not expecting top 50 but have to improve drastically to have a good balanced team.

100 pct on Fran. After 13 years of watching him scream at refs while giving himself a complete pass on his broken "defense optional" phosophy I'm done with his BS. I'll always support my alma mater but fuk that guy

Watching Auburn mug us repeatedly and dare the refs to keep calling fouls all game long reminded me way too much of Bo and Izzo basketball. But that is what you can do with the weak-minded referees in college basketball. They completely disrupted our motion on offense and racked up a lot of fouls in the early part of each half. But then the refs stopped calling it unless it was egregious, and we were screwed.

That's it, if you want to win games you need enough bodies that can play minutes to rack up fouls while still having your best players be able to play without foul trouble.
