Tom's made these decisions based on what happens in the room in the past. I think performance at Midlands resolved this as well.

I excerpted his quote from the linked story. After reading that...I am going to humbly accept the credit for Spencer deciding to be a Hawkeye...as I was in the crowd that night, cheering mightily for Ramos as he decked the PSU dude. Yep, had I not been there that night, adding my voice to the din...I think he may have gone elsewhere.

Spencer looks like he is so excited!!! Can't wait to see him live!!! Just think guys the potential for 5(Lee, Souring Eagle, Kemdawg, PDIII and Morning Stroll) guys in the finals is not really that far out of a possibility. Throw in AA's at 165 & 197 and all the sudden we are a top 3 team. Just image Gross would have stayed out of trouble.
