assuming its at 61kg, fans should actually worried about Spencer in this match. Ono just destroyed everyone whose actually a 61kg wrestler (Vito, Uguev). This could be ugly
Wouldn’t they meet at a catch weight like 59kg? I don’t see why Spencer would agree to give up 10 pounds.
Good on both guys lacing them up and competing. Good for the sport. Great for fans.
Lee is almost 100% which means trouble for anyone near his weight. Ono is almost unstoppable by anyone else in the world. I also believe Lee is in tight with Japanese wrestlers, this could be strategic. More to come is what Im guessing.

Interesting, Ono actually wrestled 65kg a few times in 2024 as well as 61kg. Hopefully Spence negotiated for him to come down a few kgs as @GableBeer suggested.

Spenser has been the underdog often. The last time was at the Olympics. He was seated something around 6th. He was the underdog against Tomato at NCAA finals. Don't forget the NW wrestler.
^^^ THIS^^^ SL at 100% is 2nd to NONE!!! I did not feel he was at his best at the Olympics and that is NOT to make any excuses because we all know about that!!! It is what it was and I just hope he is getting STRONGER every day and he can have at least 1 run at full speed!!!

His Olympic seed was because he had not wrestled in any ranking tournaments. Had nothing to do with him being an "underdog".
He was an underdog the year Flo put him with the other scrubs in the field of non-contenders.
