Leroy Smith's son, Ismael Smith Flores leaving Nebraska

Ortwerth/Ostrenga/Hoffman are your top 3 TE's plus incoming Meyer and another I can't think of so at least 5 there. Great size though, Dad was only about 6'1, no? Wow was he fun to watch..
Those 3 returning TEs combined for just 26 catches. Not exactly word beaters that would intimidate a solid TE prospect from transferring in. I hope the Hawks reach out.

his dad was an absolute beast. Kind of miss Haydens 5-2 which was really a 3-4. Those DEs could really get after the QB in that position.
D line under KF is about staying in your lane/gap. I feel like Hayden's D line was more free to get into the backfield.
Jared DeVries was another incredible athlete who lived in the opponents' backfield.

That shithead has been anti-TE all year. Our guys are great, and are only going to get better. But he continues to spout his nonsense about them. A really weird agenda to have.
If shit heads enjoy sub par play like 2 tiny D, watch Iowa football where each TE averaged 1 catch per game despite playing in an offense with no division one wide receivers.. 👏🏼. Pretty impressive if Iowa was a MAC school. Not so much for TEU. But we all have different standards.

Impressive you double down when you keep being proven wrong. Did you know we got a new OC who steered away from using our TEs? Perhaps that's why their numbers aren't as impressive as previous years where they were our only weapons? At least your posts make us laugh, little slaw!

Hard to make this argument that you have higher standards for TEU when you're wanting Iowa to reach out to a kid who was so buried on the depth chart at Nebraska (not exactly a TE factory) that he got moved to linebacker.

He isn't as productive as what we currently have (Ostrenga and Ortwerth) and he isn't as highly rated as the TEs coming up (Hoffman and Meyer).

Keep squeezing. Ostrenga had a massive 15 receptions this year, not "47."
Your dumbass said:

Career is not 15 ya dolt, it is in fact 47. I know reading comprehension is difficult from whatever single wide Nebraska school you went to, but you can do better. I BELIEVE IN YOU

What part of him saying “…had a massive 15 receptions this year” was ambiguous to you?

You do realize you can look this shit up, right?

Law is correct. Of the three TEs mentioned, they did in fact amass a total of 26 catches in 2024. If he had said career totals, I could understand your point.

As it is, since you went as far as to call him a dumbass and brought into question his reading comprehension, perhaps it would behoove you to either pull your head out of your own ass before posting or find a mirror first and decide against posting. The latter would be preferable, but you do you.

In terms of the actual OP, if this kid has talent and wants to be here, you bring him in and give him a chance to compete. Iowa needs all the talent they can get on offense, and since the TE with the most receptions in 2024 (Luke Lachey at 28) is graduating, I would say Iowa should be open to greater competition at a position they place so much emphasis on in the passing game. I mean, all TEs in 2024 combined for a whopping 1 TD for the entire season, so I think it’s not going too far out on a limb to suggest more competition wouldn’t hurt.

Because the quoted comment was not just this year, it is that simple. Those returning starters have more catches. Last year was an anomaly.

just adding to the idiocracy of your own comment. Why would the hawks suddenly recruit over Meyer, Burt, and Hoffman to bring in a kid that had to change positions at Nebraska…logic is simply missing, but the ability to follow a thread is as well.
