Less Stupid Trumper Posters

As anyone who has been on this board during presidential administrations from each party knows that the side not in power generally has more fun on "offense" as opposed to "defense". And now that we're more than a few weeks in of the sides switching, I'm wondering if anyone has found any less stupid Trumper posters to play with?

My impression is that most of the Trumpers are not worth engaging. There's some amusement in terms of a watch this poster play with their own poop sort of thing, but actually engaging has way too much of a 'punching down' element that limits the joy. I recently noticed a poster - golfhacker - who seems less stupid and has mentioned facts and reality a few times, which are promising terms coming from Trumpers, so I think there's some potential there.

Have you found any less stupid Trumpers to engage with that doesn't feel like you're picking on the poor stupid kid?

I have seen a lot of what seemed to me more independent and moderate conservative posters on this board spiral down into massive MAGA defenders and contortionists over the last 6 years. It is kind of sad to see. But I have also seen a smaller subset go the other way, and be some of the board’s greatest critics of MAGA. Tip of the cap to them.

One thing I am noticing is the MAGA Trump defender brigade are already getting very thin skinned playing defense. It would have to be exhausting to defend such obvious malfeasance and incompetence, with hints of wanting to trully rip constitution and become the United States of Russia. I would be tired and bitchy too, having to spin.

I have pretty much wrote off most of them. I do sincerely appreciate the ones have decided they can't abide by what's happening now and have become bedfellows with the left.

I believe the next ones that will become bedfellows with the left will not be because of any discussion here but will be victims of FAFO. I do not believe we will see any movement in the other direction.

Basically that leaves us with what I call the "too far gone" posters. They are only worth interacting with if you want to punch down or rack up likes by making an idiot look like an idiot. I'm guilty of taking the jabs.

My ignore list is also enormous at this point. Everyone that voted that what Elon did wasn't a NaI salute went on my ignore list with the exception of two. On occasion I show hidden content and mess with them, but when I'm done with the interaction I am gone and without a care for what they handle to say typically.

I really don’t bother “engaging” with trumpsters though I will occasionally point out absurd contradictions in things they try to pass off as fact, from time to time.

And it’s not because there aren’t some truly intelligent people that voted for Trump; there are. In my field, I interact with many of them. What deters me is that I have absolutely no respect for someone who clearly had the capacity to understand the dangers that Trump posed not just to our economy but to our nation and its standing in the world, and nonetheless chose to vote for him (or not vote at all) simply because they felt it would be better for their personal financial situation.

That level of greed at the cost of the greater good is where I draw the line. And I’m certainly not going to waste my time engaging with folks like that on this forum.

I don't need to wade through sewer to get what I want out of these forums. I have never seen anything remotely compelling from you so why would I waste the time?

I am also very aware that so many of your collective's identity is tied into "owning the libs." Another way to look at that is when I don't interact with that type of poster I am taking something away which is my interaction.

When I first started posting here I tried to have legit conversations. It was literally impossible. You guys are so close-minded you never even gave good discussions a chance to blossom. It was instant name-calling and personal attacks. And it’s only gotten worse now that Trump won in a landslide and took office.
