I'm already on record stating the Obama presidency will be viewed a big success by future historians. Almost all two-term presidencies are.
I think his legacy will look a lot like Reagan's. Reagan was loathed by the left almost as much as Obama is loathed by the right.
I believe my grandkids will be flying into Obama International Airport instead of O'Hare in 20-30 years.

4. Ended the War in Iraq - Seems to me the war isn't over. And it's Bush who signed the troop drawdown. Even Obama was clinging to that recently.

What specific achievements will historians cite in 100 years to say Obama was a big success as President? Tell us specifically what you believe are the transformational achievements so that we can compare them to other presidents. Because any of us can come up with a talking points list like you did - even one for George Bush.
Look - I know you're a slow learner. But when a person posts 'lets discuss' at the beginning of a sentence that's a invitation to have a discussion/debate. Debating politics can be interesting and thoughtful - except when folks like yourself engage with slack-jawed gibberish.

So Reagan gets credit for "ending the Cold War" right? But I think even a partisan such as yourself can admit that he didn't do it alone, as one man, right? Knowing this, Obama will be remembered by historians at the very least as the president who:
Created a new healthcare system designed to make sure every American had access to health insuranceHelped the U.S. economy recover from its worst recession since the Great DepressionWas the commander in chief who approved the mission that finally killed Osama Bin Laden whose terrorist attack of Sept. 11, 2001 was the most devastating attack on U.S. soil since Pearl Harbor

It will be interesting to see what happens in the MidEast, if there will ever be an agreement there. I find it curious that I believe the GOP opposes the current ME negotiations because they will be tied to Obama and his administration, not so much as to the substance of the negotiations/agreement. A MidEast peace agreement may be one of those things that has to negotiated by the GOP because any agreement the Dems might reach will be blasted as a cave-in or a bad deal.....just because of who the GOP is and the Dems are.

Maybe not the biggest/best, but those are the ones that are going to stay with him in my opinion.
The truth of the matter is presidents to some degree are victims of circumstance. You can't be considered great without great achievement - but if there is no great hill to climb the president may be left without the possibility of lofty achievement. If FDR would have been out of office in 1941 - nobody would have considered him among the greats of the last century.
And yes - we can agree no president stands alone in success or failure - they usually have a lot of help.
As for the "new" health care system - (he didn't create a new health care system - he reformed the current one) -- Semantics aside - this is certainly his crowning achievement in terms of a legacy. There's no way to know the lasting effects of this bill will have on the future of american health care - but I don't foresee it being the overarching system in the future. I think we'll see it completely replaced/removed over time. But of course that's pure speculation.
Good economies tend not to be something that's used to judge greatness. It certainly doesn't hurt them - but for most part it's not an indicator of great presidential leadership.
Bin laden is certainly a feather in his cap. Carter also ordered a very daring raid - the difference is his failed. I wonder what that would have done for his legacy if they would have brought home the hostages?

You think he just magically got tracked down after Bush left office? Bush did all the leg work finding him. Obama had the easy part, just say "yes".
It took YEARS to find him and that didn't happen on Obama's watch.
Obviously you have a lot of time on your hands but historians will show this was so full of horse manure than its does even come with in a couple zip codes of the truth. My own opinion is BHO will go down with Carter as one of the worst Presidents in history. Certainly one of the most secretive(unless Hillary is elected)

Obama's number 2 (a) achievement (beating out all really strong competitors from his own party) was:

By what measurement do you find Jr. a superior President to BHO? I mean I can understand not liking Obama, even a lot, but my most every measure the country is better off than it was under Bush.
