Liberal Insanity put into law in NYC. Now dudes can pee with the ladies!

That is so wrong it is funny. It was wrong when I first called you out over it and yet you kept at it. The city wasn't historically responsible for those attacks previously, this wouldn't change that. But don't let that get in the way of your rant, especially when you are comparing an intervening criminal act with a hazardous, known condition (unlit, dangerous stairs).

Not ranting. Just watch.

This is a litigious society we live in.

Previously the city wasn't enabling. They are now enabling.

That is where you are wrong. They removed a condition they didn't require one.

If someone is sexually assaulted in parking lot (which happens to be unisex), are they liable in your theory as well? Maybe in a unisex public elevator? Previously unisex unisex bathroom?

As always, people can sue for anything, but you are claiming they better save up and are implying that they would lose.

It will take very little for a group of women with intimidating stories to form a class.

Keep going .... and claim what? That the city had a duty to protect them in restroom signage? A duty to ensure that rapists don't enter bathrooms? That unisex bathrooms are against safety standards? Follow through 22, what is the claim here?

It is allowed for transgendered people to fear for their safety in the wrong restroom, but women are not allowed to fear for their safety?

What do you mean allowed? Was this the result of a lawsuit that I'm not aware of?

Your claim is that there will be lawsuits against the city for making bathrooms unisex, and you imply that they will use. I'm asking you to actually follow that through, but you don't seem to want to.

Women "fearing for their safety" doesn't = lawsuit against the city, especially when considering that is, apparently, based entirely on signage ...

This is crazy. We had a thread recently where a male perv was arrested for video and peep perving in a men's bathroom. If a man wants to enter a women's bathroom and perv out like this, he will be subject to arrest.

I have a hard time believing that many men will aggressively take advantage of this at all. Seems the creepers MO is to NOT stand out, and for sure any non-transgender man will absolutely stand out and be scrutinized when they enter. It will be legal, and I guess there will be some assholes who have a "fvck you" attitude in general that will just go wherever they want. But they will keep their eyes and pecker where they belong or face trouble.

I think a lot of you just like pooping with transgenders and are sad to see them go.

... in a women's restroom where they all have stalls. Right?

Is "fear for their safety" the reason for laws like this? I don't think that's the driver for transgender people wanting to use the bathroom of the sex they identify with. I could be wrong.

A victim will be able to attach liability to the city.(especially considering this is not a law)

Just like a victim could hold a private business accountable for a crime they enabled too.

Right. The risk of perving would be greater if there were urinals, obviously. If a perv comes out of his stall a swinging, he will be subject to charges I would think?

I'm sorry, was that the point you were making? That individual stalls lessen risk of incidents?

You keep saying enabling, it is not enabling no matter how much you want it to do.

They made bathrooms unisex. Unless you can demonstrate that previously unisex bathrooms were the subject of lawsuits against the city you are full of shit. I can't tell whether you know that and don't care, or really don't understand.

You tried to use a bad example earlier, of taking out streetlights by a hazardous staircase ... which entirely ignores the intervening criminal act and that the stairs themselves aren't the subject of the lawsuit.

Historically, lawsuits have not been able to attach this type of liability to the city, and certainly not in instances where the cities are not enforcing the very protection you say they are now enabling against.

As I said with your bad example earlier: If someone was raped in a unisex parking lot, would they have a claim against the city?

So, let's just wait and see then.

Seriously this is so sad and unbelievable that this is happening in our country. When will this ridiculous crap ever stop?
So unisex restrooms are the beginning of the end for America? You know at my house we have had unisex bathrooms for decades! Seems to work fine. But then again, we're just a couple of liberals who enjoy our trips to Europe.

Yeah, I've been perving at your house for awhile. What with your free for all open door policy... you haven't even noticed me behind the shower curtain.

I wasn't going to before, I was going to summarily decide preemptively, but since you've asked, ok.

Why don't you log out and log back in with your WWJD handle.

That persona is a lot less emotional than this one.

Translation = Well since you've provided proof that I'm a POS to my students, I'll now call you a woman to help try to deflect that I've been proven to be a POS.

Like I said in that thread, I feel sorry for your students. They don't deserve to have a teacher that acts like a bully.
Wrong again. You are being a drama queen. You called me a POS because I disagree with you that 2nd graders don't have the mental capacity to determine they are not the sex they were born. You started the name calling. If you can dish it out you damn well better take it. You have shown you are incapable of having a civil discussion with someone who disagrees with you. This is the sad thing, you dumbass...my position isn't set in stone. I don't care that much about it but raised a concern. You might have been able to sway my opinion. I am a reasonable person. But you didn't try. You flew off the handle immediately. Exaggerated my stance. That's a you problem. What I don't appreciate is twice now you take shots about me working with kids. You feel sorry for them. Why? Because I disagree with your position on a couple of topics. The thing is...my students and their parents think I am great. They love me. Not much more to say to you, you judgemental ass. Enjoy the rest of your week.

I'm curious Tom, do you think transgender-ism to be invented, not a real thing, or whatever? Do you think it is some sort of "deviance"?

Good luck with Fred btw.

Oh it's real. I just think don't think little kids are mature enough to make that decision. I was actually standing by a group of transgender people while waiting for a pizza the other night. One was trying to talk another out of having surgery on his/her face.

What do you mean by make that decision? Just that they can't get to the conclusion, but the "symptoms" (for lack of better term) are there? That they may act (or want to act) like the opposite sex, but can't (shouldn't?) make the decision to do so?

Damned if I know, I'm certainly no expert, but as you work with children (?) I thought you might have a better opinion. Seems to me that it would be fairly inherent and immutable, that you either are, or aren't, the thing that you are. If a person believes they are female, or at least stereotypically female and want feminine things, it would be something they've likely always wanted.

I wanted GI Joes and to be outside, never wanted clothes nor cared about my appearance, that makes me stereotypically male. None of that ever really changed. Even within stereotypically male attributes there are differences, and anecdotally I've never seen those really change over time.

I do imagine it could be mental, and changes in that could alter that state of mind, such as a stroke and similar things. Other than "deciding" that they are, in fact, something "trans", I don't think it much matters what age they are.

Basically your first paragraph. I don't believe a 7 year old boy has the maturity to state they are going to begin living as a girl. There is so much development time left. If a 16 year old girl says, you know what...I intend to live my life as a boy...who am I to argue? With little ones...lets just take it easy before we make the jump to change sexes.

Edit to ask...is it NOT a decision though? I'm not sure. I know I kept hearing about the decision Bruce Jenner was making to become Kaitlyn.

Keep telling those students that are transgender they don't exist in your mind. I'm sure they appreciate your support. What a POS.
Hey dumbass, go ask your wife right now if she would mind being in a stall changing a tampon or taking an emergency crap while being knowingly surrounded in other stalls by men. Let us know what she says please.

My bride doesn't tell me shit!
Does she take dumps while you're 2 feet away brushing your teeth? What about when you have house guests, does your wife and other male guests go to the restroom at the same time? Dumb example is dumb.

Hyperbole, hyperbole, hyperbole. It's sad that people take this decision and come up with the most outrageous situation. Like these are more common than people just using the restroom and moving on with their lives.

It's outrageous to consider what most women might think of allowing men open access to restrooms? Really? More outrageous than squashing any form of gender norms bc a small minority can't decide if they feel like peeing standing up or sitting down?
For the record, I don't care if Cait Jenner wants to pee in the women's room, have at it. But the fix to that situation is a lot different than flat out saying any sex, can go in any restroom, whenever they want. Simple common sense and logic make this pretty obvious to anyone without a severe politically induced mental illness.

LOL!! You're too cute. I'm sure your students do like you, but it's probably because you're not as much as an asswipe that you portray yourself to be on this board. If you actually neglect your kid's problems because you don't think they exist I'll continue to call you or any other teachers a POS. It's not your position to tell them their problems don't matter because you don't think they're mature enough or do think they exist.

Not sure what the fuss is about. Every private home I've ever been in has unisex bathrooms. Just how it is. Way back before the days of multi-bathroom homes, I grew up in a house with one single multisex bathroom for 9 people. Times were tough. We managed.

Washington DC has been doing it for over a decade now. We're you upset back in 2006 or are you really upset now because people tell you gays and transgenders are bad and most likely perverts? I didn't hear a peep out of anyone when a handful of cities passed this very same ordinance 2 years ago. Now "your side" tells you that is "the end of society" and you just fall right in line. Talk about a partisan hack. Look in the mirror

I'm really kicking myself for not realizing the special kind of special you are.

Well, starting with the easy: Who knows what anyone, let alone Bruce Jenner/Caitlyn, want.

I don't think it is a "decision" per se, because the decision is already made internally, whether hormonally (sic?) or mentally or whatever. The decision to announce or act upon it is certainly a decision, and not one I envy. Bruce was obviously able to be a man and masculine and all that goes with it, even if maybe he hated it and didn't want to. A 16 year old girl might "decide" to live like a boy and cut her hair short, hide her breasts, chew tobacco and play sports, but the actual inherent "decision" likely had already been made.

More for gays, but "coming out of the closet" isn't really a decision to be gay.

Again, the truth hurts. Just calling it like I see it.

I completely agree with your last sentence. Maybe it's more Bruce "chose" to live as he did for most of his life. I am really spending way more time thinking about this than I intended upon entering this thread. LOL!

Barking up the wrong tree again Fred. I Don't have any issues with the gheys and that isn't my gripe here. But men don't need open access to women's restrooms. Nyc is a cit with a lot of bad people. There are over 1,000 rapes/yr in the city and exponentially more physical assaults and letting men walk into women's restrooms unrestricted isn't going to make most women feel any more safe or comfortable. Plus it's just plain wrong and we're it an R passing this law you'd be saying the same.
