Lil' Lick 2.0

Welp, since nepotism reigns supreme at Iowa, why don't we just hire a head coach that played in the NBA and has about 5 sons between the ages 10 and 17.

Why does Barta make this hiring of coaches thing sound so difficult :D

I believe that Wade was, too.

You believe Wade is a joke too?

Or you think child abuse is funny? And by today's standards, I was abused as a child.

I've also counseled kids who were abused as children. I have a pretty broad sense of humor, but I usually don't laugh at racist jokes or child abuse jokes.

To each his own.

The kid walked on to help his Dad and the Hawks. Why is that funny? That he was so over matched is funny? That the Hawks were terrible, that is funny? Never got it, still don't.

In real life you appear to be a really good person. Too bad you don't promote more of that on here.

It’s not your fault. I understand the lashing out at players who have good relationships with their parents.

It's a long, proud tradition at Nepotism U
No, this isn’t the only school where the coaches recruited and played their own.
Bobby Knight did at Indiana. Steve Alford at UCLA. I’ll stop there because that one is interesting. UCLA fans harped about it for four years and the kid went on to set new UCLA records.
Think how difficult we’ll make it for our own Hawkeye players to contribute to the best of their talent if they hear this bickering for four years.

Amen. One is a freshman, the other a sophomore, both highly rated in their classes, and lots of bitching about them already.

If they had different last names there would be far less complaining, though agree with many here Connor would be best suited as a solid backup.

I think Connor and Patrick have been set up for failure since day one of their Hawkeye careers. Just as I think everyone on this Hawkeye team have been set up for failure by the head coach.

Its not that these players are terrible individually....when assembled together and asked to do things they are physically unable to do, they are not a good team. That falls on the head coach.

I think I posted this in the wrong thread.
