Went to watch Bohannon play. Linn-Mar was a little dysfunctional for the 1st Qtr and half of the 2nd Qtr. Ankeny was aggressive. Linn-Mar lethargic. The kind thing that happens on a 2 1/2 hr bus trip then sitting around for a couple of hrs before you play. Linn-Mar finished strong erasing a double digit lead to 4 or 6 at half. Bohannon hit a big 3 with approx. 20 seconds before half. Started the 2nd half better but got into a little foul trouble. Linn-Mar made a nice run while he was out. When he came back in he made some 3s, had some nice drives, got to the foul line. Took over the game without hogging the ball. Game went into overtime with Linn-Mar winning by 9 or 10 we left after Bohannon made the 1st of 2 FTs to made it nine with 20 seconds left. Figured it went to 10 because he wasn't missing FTs.

My analysis: Good ball player. Would guess he is on the 6' 1" side of 6' when I walked by, fairly slender, needs to gain strength, seemed to have a good handle. Missed a couple of shots early but he ended up with close to 30 pts 5-3's 8 or 9 FTs. Willing passer I thought he should have demanded the ball more. Needs to learn how to really move without the ball. Needs work on Defense (don't they all). Has a really nice shot, do not remember any of his made FG/FT hitting any rim, question will be if he can get his shot at the next level. Would recommend he watch a lot of John Stockton/Steve Nash film.

Reminded me a lot of Jeff Horner when I saw Jeff play in HS. Jeff was more aggressive, had the ball a lot more than Jordan did tonight, Jeff was a better driver, Jordan a better shooter in my opinion. Would say he probably has a better handle and better shot than his brothers, if he can match his brothers fight, intensity, desire, will, he will be a good college player. He's 17-18 yrs old we will have to wait to see how things go.

37 points, 10- 10 free throws and 5 threes in Linn- Mar's OT victory over No. 6 4A Ankeny. Kid's as good or better than any Bohannon before him.

Interesting. Did he wear a headband and come off as incredibly arrogant?

Not trying to 'flame', but I honestly don't remember that about JH. Was that more in high school or am I just that old and losing my memory?

And Jordan is certainly not cocky from anything I've seen.

Game I saw Jeff did not where a headband - Did have an attitude. Comparison was based on size and style of play - Jordan showed no signs of arrogance - just a few fist pumps after making some shots at crunch time - There were a few kids heckling him but didn't seem to get under his skin. He is a good player and seems like a good kid. Success at Iowa will depend on how he develops: defense, ball drives, moving without the ball, creating open shots,

I have no problems with headbands, like one of our own players now wears sometimes. Keeps the sweat out of your eyes and face. Most douchebag players don't wear sweatbands.

It's weird Jeff didn't sweat once he got to college. Since that is why one would wear a headband.

It's not really about the headband. It's how you carry yourself while wearing one.

Just like usual, as families go, the youngest one is typically the best athlete, overall.
Happens a lot........Really liked Jordan all through and have actually lobbied the
Hawkeyes to offer him.

Funny, I do not remember JH wearing a headband. Also, what you assume was arrogance was perceived by others to be a tremendously focused individual dealing with the pressure of playing for his father against some of the best competition in the state, on average, night in and night out.

Oh, and he was a great contributor to some fun Hawkeye teams as well.

I hate guys who wear headbands. Way too full of themselves.

Did you read the last line? White high school kids that wear headbands on the court, as a rule, probably need to check their egos. That's all I'm saying.

You a racist?

If not, maybe you can help me out here... where on the headband does it indicate which ones are for which race?
