Listen to 10 minutes of AM talk radio (national political hosts). Then shut it off.

You'll realize why we elected such a moron as president. Such conspiratorial, lying nonsense. Cult radio. I would laugh if I didn't think so many people believe this crap. The hosts don't even believe most of what they're saying, but it sells, is addictive, and makes them millionaires even while ruining America.

Are we talking about the future VP? I mean she did say she wouldn't trust taking a vaccine if it was out by the end of the year. Weird you didnt mention that.

Yeah, I don't think she said that.

"In an interview excerpt broadcast by CNN on Saturday, Harris said Trump had a track record of suppressing expert opinion about the coronavirus pandemic and that she worried that might happen again in the case of a prospective vaccine.

“I would not trust Donald Trump,” Harris said, saying she would be convinced of the efficacy of a vaccine only if someone credible were vouching for it as well.

“I will not take his word for it.”

And, of course it has nothing to do with the subject at hand. Just another non-sequitur from hawkland14.

Considering one of the vaccine trials has been paused and restarted 2x due to adverse reactions from test subjects I'd be a tad leary of any vaccine approved before the end of the year. Remember vaccines have a 12-18 month start to finish timeline to allow for thorough testing. They have already cut considerable corners to be at Phase 3 trials so soon.

Virtually no one outside Trump has said a vaccine before Christmas is a realistic timeline.

Rush, for all his faults, is at least articulate in his own weird little way and are somewhat insightful and well thought out, where his lengthy monologues can at least come off as coherent if viewed through a particular lens. Medal of Freedom worthy? Probably not, but at least his show in its long history has been fairly groundbreaking, and I honestly can't take that way from him. The rest of the wannabes, including Hannity, are just hacks. Every single day he has hour after hour of having 2 or 3 guests on the phone at a time where easily the most frequent comment is "I agree, Sean". They just echo and repeat talking points and just try to come up with some creative name-calling of prominent Democrats and parrot whatever the President says on camera (or maybe it's the other way around). They're all just dollar-store Rush Limbaugh.

Yea, listen to the ads that broadcast during these programs. They sure aren't for your corner mom& pop grocery store or local car dealership. Other than a select few national companies run by very outspoken, known far-right commodities (MyPillow and the like), It's almost ALL right wing think tanks and PACs.

Yeah and have convinced their cult that apparently having all of AM radio, a huge chunk of social media, and the #1 cable network just isn't "mainstream" enough. Republicans were bad enough before they became Trumpublicans...... just straight scum now

Yep. I used to be able to respect many Republican politicians, even if I disagreed with them on most issues. There is no way I can respect any politician who has aided and abetted Trump's corruption and unconstitutional activities.

You "Listen" or you "listened"?

Good 'ole poison radio.

Never thought I would wish for the fairness doctrine to be brought back, but here we are.

Can’t we say that? I mean people say that the virus will be gone after 11/4.
The virus won’t be gone. The panic porn put out out by the media and left will be. Kid of like June during the protests and riots. All of a sudden CNN didn’t talk about the spread of the virus as we were watching it happen on video. Weird

Most of AM radio is a vast wasteland of stupid.

The one exception: AM 1630 KCJJ - Iowa City

Shout out to @Suterman !
Well, KCJJ and KSUI/WSUI.
The music sucks on KCJJ, but thank goodness for them during the derecho. Lots of valuable information from the Double J during those days we didn't have power.

I have it on literally 24 hours 5 days a week. even in my sleep. if it were on on weekends i would do that too

Who still listens to radio?

I listen in my truck. There are no decent fm stations so I listen to sports radio at night.

Problem is, it's Rush and Sean during the daylight hours, and sometimes they are on when I jump in the next day. If I'm in a hurry or distracted it sometimes takes 4 or 5 minutes before I realize what is going on and am aware enough to change the station. You can absorb A LOT of stupid in those few minutes.

I’m used to playing everything off my phone. I haven’t listened to radio in years.

I guess there's not much on my phone worth listening to either. It's a lot easier just to flip on the radio for a little background noise. My work truck doesn't have bluetooth or even a jack.

I will admit I don't use my phone for as many things as it is capable of doing.
