Per Eickholt, Logan Jones will return for one more year.
Beat writers have been reporting that Jones and Hurkett are expected back for about a week nowJust saw that. I'm a little shocked.
Huge portal get!Per Eickholt, Logan Jones will return for one more year.
I'd be surprised if Pieper didn't have the upper hand right now. Myslinski only played 25 snaps all season. Pieper played in 10 games and had over 100 snaps.Wonder if this will move another O-lineman to the portal. Myslinsky looks to have Colby's spot for next year, that would have been my first guess.
Thought the same thing.I'd be surprised if Pieper didn't have the upper hand right now. Myslinski only played 25 snaps all season. Pieper played in 10 games and had over 100 snaps.
I wonder if there's any chance Ellsberry comes back. Would be huge if we had four veteran guys returning. I think he is eligible.Thought the same thing.
Yeah because this offensive line looked so dominant against Nebraska, Michigan State, and UCLA second half of season.I wonder if there's any chance Ellsberry comes back. Would be huge if we had four veteran guys returning. I think he is eligible.
Going directly off the depth chart.I'd be surprised if Pieper didn't have the upper hand right now. Myslinski only played 25 snaps all season. Pieper played in 10 games and had over 100 snaps.
O line did very well for having no passing attack several games. Use some common sense.Yeah because this offensive line looked so dominant against Nebraska, Michigan State, and UCLA second half of season.
No NFL future might as well play another yearJust saw that. I'm a little shocked.
You don't want a returning 1st team all big ten player back to the team? Coaches voted him 2nd team, which tells you all that you need to know, as they know a heck of a lot more than we do. Sometimes I wonder what some of you are watching on gamedays. He was solid, he is solid and he will stick on a team to play on Sundays. Not liking him coming back it's not like he was blowing up massive stats. I'd rather just get a new body in there
Sure, but it doesn't work that way.Going directly off the depth chart.
We were severely limited against Nebraska. The other two, I can't argue with. The UCLA game continues to be an embarrassment. Considering the same guys have been in the lineup continuously for the last three to four years I would hope we have brighter prospects that have developed inside the program. I would hope 4* Lauck, who had offers from Michigan and TOSU to name a few, and was highly ranked nationally at his position is able to make a statement next year. That being said, I would like to get a starting OL from a power 4 conference.Yeah because this offensive line looked so dominant against Nebraska, Michigan State, and UCLA second half of season.
Well one could say they had no pass game because QBs rarely had time to get the ball to any WR that happened to get open.O line did very well for having no passing attack several games. Use some common sense.
1 Year out of 5 we all forget out great o line play last 5You don't want a returning 1st team all big ten player back to the team? Against MSU we did not have a running threat qb. We did at UCLA and we scored on our first possession and moved the ball but turnovers stalled the offense. Shaggy's big pass completions showed in the 2nd half of that game how a better passing game can open things up for the hawks.Yeah because this offensive line looked so dominant against Nebraska, Michigan State, and UCLA second half of season.
So our line play hasn't been good the past 5 years, but you don't want an all big ten performer back?1 Year out of 5 we all forget out great o line play last 5
We don't need a QB run threat to beat Debbie. Hell, we don't need an offense. They find away to lose to us.Against MSU we did not have a running threat qb. We did at UCLA and we scored on our first possession and moved the ball but turnovers stalled the offense. MSU, UCLA, and Nebby all sold out to stop the run, big time and it worked. Still the hawk offense had a very good 2nd half at MSU.
We didnt have the qb run threat against Nebby.
I am just hoping the passing game improves by at least 50% next year but really a 100% improvement from about 100 yards per game to 200 yards per game is what is needed
