I have been complaining (over 10 years) that It will never change as long Ferentz is the dead weight of a coach. Name one aspect of the game we are consistently good at other mediocre play? And no it is not offensive line play, that is a myth of KF admirers.

It's mind boggling that Barta still has a job. Lawsuits, underachieving teams, and the dumbest contract extensions in Iowa athletic department history, and the guy is still here. People point to the facility upgrades, but does anyone actually believe that they wouldn't have happened anyway? With BTN money and the fundraising inroads laid by Bowlsby and Bump Elliot, we could have had Gary BUSEY in charge of athletics and still had major upgrades to Kinnick and Carver.

The guy is a joke. But the bigger joke is that the Iowa good ol' boy club is alive and well in the athletic department.

Then, next year we come back and are just terrible again, and by then EVERYONE is calling for his head.

What happens? KF just smiles, says certainly, and doesn't care? Just sits there and acts untouchable?

You figure if the noise gets loud enough it would force SOMETHING to happen?

But what? Iowa certainly can't/wouldn't fire him, not for 6-7 years probably at the minimum.

This fan base is loud enough though, figure something would have to give. Perhaps we are just staring into an abyss of the dark ages for this program.

I honestly think it would take 4 wins or fewer for 3 consecutive seasons for there to even be a chance of him getting moved out. Now, what could change that is Barta getting the axe. If he is terminated, that might very well speed up the process.

I think today was the last time the Hawks are gonna fool Vegas. That's why i bet hard today. The line going forward to more accurately reflect the type of team we have unfortunately. Who do we play next, @ minnesota? Yeah, we won't be the favorite for that one. Might go large on the - whatever the line will be for Minny though. I fully expect them to take it to us this year, they tend to do that whenever they feel like they can. This year will definitely be that. So yeah, i guess maybe their IS more money to be made off the hawks this year. lol

Seriously, Barta has to go. Iowa football will be dead for another decade. There might be an occasional ray of hope but it will be only a teaser.

Last seasons 12-0 regular season will be the best thing that happened to Ferentz and right up there tied with the worst thing for Iowa football with Evy as Iowa A.D.

I have no issue giving the coaches a bonus for having a 10+ win season, but signing the to a long contract at very high salary is CEO management at its poorest.

Stockholders (Donors) should be hanging Barta out to dry. With no golden parachute.
