More than likely they person wasn't a fan. That person was a troll seeking to get a reaction
Well if he's saying especially Iowa fans he really isn't paying that much attention....if this is him. They have been talking unprecedented smack. I haven't heard about him in almost 20 years, is he involved with program in any way other than being alumni?
I agree it can be toned down but they did physically and sexually assault our band, why we should end series. He grew up in Indiana and committed to them, never grew up hawk. Not sure he fully understands the rivalry other than a couple games. Google him and he's in a Hoosier jersey

Now what I will say is somewhere along the line Iowa St fans put together an inflated sense of how good their basketball program was/is.
Sure, they had a small little run with Hoiberg, after the program was a dumpster fire. But Iowa, even going through the Lickliter years and a portion of the Alford years have still historically had the much better program. The numbers don't lie. It's just a matter of time before that order is restored.
NCAA tournament births & wins, final four Appearances, head to head matchups all favor Iowa by a lot. I think their attitudes comes from getting their butts kicked in football for basically the history of the programs and wrestling too.
So once they were having a little success around the same time Iowa had a lull, they attempted to prop their basketball program as if it was so superior to Iowa's when that is really not the case. So they do a lot of mouth breathing on Twitter.

Let me sum up your and other poster's attitude here - "If ISU has fans that act like absolute fools, Iowa can have fans that act like absolute fools too."
I liked Recker as a player.
