I want some of what Joe Lunardi is smoking. In his latest bracketology he has Iowa as a nine seed and ISU as a six seed. Granted Iowa has struggled the last 3 games but have won 5 of their last 9 and 4 of their last 7. In the same span ISU has won 4 of 9 and 3 of 7 plus Iowa piss pounded them head to head. I would also say overall the B!G is a better conference than the Big 12. I realize it's just one man's opinion but he seems to have some love affair with the Big 12.

Or the fact ISU is still top 25 in the NET and Iowa is 41-42nd. Also ISU beat two top 15 teams on the road!!

Iowa sole win is at home vs Mich.

Actually Lundardi amazingly still has them as a 5 seed. Don't see how they don't drop any spots after back to back losses to Texas and an awful WVU. In fact losing 4 out of last 5 only dropped one spot. Iowa has dropped one spot each time after their last 3 losses.

One thing I'm seeing with this new stuff they are looking more at quality of wins and less at the bad losses. See teams like Texas as a 10 seed with 16-14 (8-9 conf) record and Florida an 11 at 17-13 (9-8 conf) and one of the first 4 out Indiana at 16-14 (7-12 in conf). All have some really good wins but some awful losses. Flip side Iowa doesn't have as many good wins but besides Rutgers they don't have any bad losses. In the end I'm thinking both Iowa schools fall in the 7-10 range on selection sunday.

In case some of you forgot, ISU was added to the top 25 this week (coaches poll), after losing. So even though all of Iowa knows that both the hawks and clones suck, the rest of the country is just probably starting to realize that ISU sucks too, in addition to Iowa. ISU was riding their national reputation a few extra weeks. Iowa has no national reputation (that is positive).

He's really bad at his job. That's widely known. God only knows why ESPN still trots him out every year, but I digress.

The Big 12 is a joke this year just like about every year and we will see it again.

The numbers rank it the top conference in basketball again. I think Big Ten was better, but now teams like Rutgers, IU and PSU winning a lot has hurt the top half. Early season wasn’t the big ten slated to get 9-10 teams and now we will be lucky with 6-7.

I get history has no impact on this current season but it does get old watching them choke every year outside of Kansas and still be lauded as the top 1 or 2 conference

Big Ten was better early because it already played it's ACC and Big East Challenges, B12 and SEC don't play their's until February so they'll always get a boost that was absent earlier to their non-conference SOS.

Okay, that makes sense. Why doesn’t the Big Ten do that w/the ACC? I think that would help the conference or hurt it I guess if they got smoked.

Iowa at 9 is reasonable with their free fall.

'clones at 5 is too high, especially after getting walloped by a bad wvu.

Bracket matrix had ISU as a 6 I believe which is about right. They beat some good teams on the road which always helps.

Iowa’s seed I don’t think will go up even if we win 1-2 more games. I think we are stuck in the dreaded 8-10 range for seeding. Oh well another early exit and no sweet 16. We going on what 20 years since the last time we made the sweet 16. Christ UNI has made it more times recently (almost 2 times).

Maybe he will finally drop isu off the 5 line after finishing the regular season losing 5 of last 6 and finishing 9-9 in conference.

Kansas in the top 15 is a joke.

Since Azubuike went down, they've been pedestrian.

I don't see any Big 12 team reaching the elite 8.

I respectfully disagree, I see Texas Tech having the potential to reach the Elite 8 and possibly K State.

I don't. TTU's lineup is fine in the undersized Big 12 but will get abused by bigger ACC/Big10 front courts.

KState at times has limited offense. They should be 0-2 vs ISU. They also lost to Tulsa and Texas A&M, 2 teams well outside the top 50.

The best part of disagreeing is it will soon play out in front of us. Culver, Moretti, and Mooney are all good players and solid guards and small forward. Kansas State's fate depends on the health of Wade's foot. When he is on the floor he can really stretch the D. In addition, their two starting guards Stokes and Brown are both good and have Elite 8 experience.
