Luther Open Results

Has Laux gotten bigger/stronger? I thought this would be more lopsided. In the past I didn't think he had the horsepower when he filled in at 133.

Much bigger. He was going to shoot for 41. Laux would be starting and winning for many D1 teams at 33

Didn't Laux take a season off before Wisconsin because he needed size to grow into 125? Not trying to make this into a Spencer Lee thread but put me in the corner of not being concerned about his size.

Much bigger. He was going to shoot for 41. Laux would be starting and winning for many D1 teams at 33

He was 0-2 in duals the last time he filled in. I know he had solid results in freestyle but I guess without him competing in folkstyle much the past couple years it is hard to gauge how good he is.

Laux is a nice wrestler but not an AA type threat. He is able to keep it close with Cory because of familiarity. He might be our 133 next year and would do well to qualify for nationals.

I completely forgot that Laux, although the same age as Gilman and Clark, delayed enrollment for a year. I think its really good news that he will be our 133 next year. Nothing against Rathbun, but Laux is the much better option for 133 at this point, think he could win some matches at NCAAs. I'm assuming Wagner will be the 125 lber next year? Or might Stickley go?

Does he have eligibility next year? He's listed as a senior and I've lost track with his movement, especially as it relates to Northwestern.

Yes, he didn't enroll his first year. He's the same year as Clark and gillman so he should still have one year left.
