Maine Removes Trump From Ballot

You mean specifically with the Ukraine war or in general? If you're talking in general...

I bet they smell like a cattleyard.

Just because you saw it in a chis post or on msnbc doesn't mean that anything is proven you dolt. Remember how you all lied about Russian collusion for 4 years as a single example? You're in a cult.
Let’s see, first they were planted, then they were declassified by him blinking his eyes, now none of it was even there? Keep grasping and lying, some people will believe you (maga!)

Dems were absolutely willing to work with Trump. They provided massive support for his prison reform law which one of Trump biggest legislative accomplishments. As long as it was good legislation the Dems would approve.

I am not a lefty. Trump needs to go away….
I don't want trump around either, but you don't "save democracy" by destroying it and removing people from the ballot. It's especially bad I'm this case as:

1. The 14th ammendment does not mention application to the office of the presidency.
2. Trump has not been convicted or even charged with inciting an insurrection.

Put in a better candidate than joe biden and trump can be beaten. Hell, Kennedy would steamroll trump if he was the dem candidate.

1. Then let’s let the SC decide. Trump is new territory for this country, let it play out. 2. What has he been charged with in DC?
Edit: Haley would probably beat Biden. Trump will not and there will be shitstorm

He never was.
He is over 35 and was born a citizen. He has all the qualifications he needs.
And when was he convicted of insurrection? Not of some arbitrary process crime, but actual insurrection.
I don’t like the guy and I never did, but when the Supreme Court tells all these states that they can’t kick Trump off the ballot, it’s only going to help him.

You referred to the presidency as an office. Meaning it is clearly included.

Section 3 Disqualification from Holding Office

No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

You're a moron.

Fourteenth Amendment Equal Protection and Other Rights

  • Section 3 Disqualification from Holding Office

Trump is charged with this:
Conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding: For the same conduct used to charge him with conspiracy, Trump is charged specifically with conspiring to obstruct the congressional confirmation of Biden’s victory on Jan. 6. Included as evidence is that Trump in his speech that morning “directed the crowd in front of him to go to the Capitol as a means to obstruct the certification and pressure the Vice President to fraudulently obstruct the certification.”

Obstruction of an official proceeding: Trump is also charged with a substantive obstruction count for attempting to block Congress from confirming Biden’s victory on Jan. 6. The same charge is the most common felony charge used against rioters who stormed the U.S. Capitol. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit has split on how to define this crime, but a majority of judges who have weighed in agree that at least some conduct at the Capitol counts as illegal obstruction.

You don't believe this falls under an insurrection???

He is not qualified by intellect, morality, or temperament to be POTUS. There’s more to the job than satisfying minimal Constitutional standards. Most of us knew that way back in 2015.

Those are qualifications that are to be decided by the voters, not Governors of States that don't like him. It's just voter suppression from a different angle.

I think you are correct that a candidate's intellect, morality or temperament are for voters to decide. Whether a candidate meets the minimum requirements to be on the ballot is not a question for voters in any way, shape or form. It's also not voter suppression.

Seriously? Start reading through the thread and pick the first of many that don’t have anything to do with the thread.

Also, mine was a response to your MAGA violence.
I'm not combing thru 12 pages of this thread. Just saw the Main sec of state got swatted, figured that was pertinent to this thread. Are you saying you're not surprised by MAGA doing this?

No, I’m saying the left is violent too. Good night.

I am not in favor of this unless Trump has been convicted of the crime in court. Merrick Garland dragged his feet to start the investigation.

If enough people end up voting for Trump to get the electoral college win in 2024, this country will get what it deserves.

Oh FFS. There's nuts on both sides, the difference between the Dems and Repubs is that the leader of the Republican party is one of the main people making and inciting threats.
Many would argue this knucklehead set them free
