Major Flaw in Iowa Coaching 2017

O has zero mental toughness...the tougher the going gets, the more "fundamental" issues show up.

Appear to be a few minor attitude issues brewing as well. It's hard enough to beat the opposition when your side is one unit, let alone a couple or three units.

just my opinion.

I think Iowa has been behind in every game sans NW. I wouldnt question their mental toughness. They have just lacked execution too many times, over throws, drops, missed assignments, etc.

Stanley is not the problem. Has he scuffled at times? Yes, but name me a QB that hasn't. He is put in the most obvious passing situations behind a line that can't run or pass block. Combine this with a head coach and OC whose schemes went out with bag phones and parachute pants and you have a recipe for disaster.

If you put Stanley in the gun and go with a quicker tempo, you would see a higher success rate on the quick hitters, which would open up the run / screen game, which would allow us to take some shots. But in Kirk's world, we need to run 25 times for 18 yards to prove we are a run first team.

This is the softest offensive line in recent memory. Yeah they are young, but they seem to be missing a "badass." As an example Robert Gallary kinda wanted to kill the guy across from him we need a little more of that on the line.
Not true, we have that in Kulick (hell, even Ross). They just are not as prominent in the offense and with how our line is preforming they are being asked to block a d-linemen and two linebackers per play.
