Major Quake in SE ASIA

A little bit on CNN’s website and it doesn’t look good. Please send positive vibes/prayers to that part of the world.

Are we sure that was caused by the earthquake and wasn’t just part of a guerrilla marketing campaign for the new Rami Malek/Laurence Fishburne film, The Amateur?
This actually looks pretty good; but the pool scene was copied from one of Statham's Mechanic movies. 🥴

If this epicenter was around Mandalay, think of all the destruction to World Heritage Sites. Haven't heard anyone on the news mention this but places like Amarapura, Bagan and the countless temples will sustain massive damage. Really tough getting any news out of Burma but the stories must be tragic so far.

Spent quite a bit of time in that area and you feel for the people. They spend most of their day without electricity anyway so plenty of generators around town.

Maybe, but some of those structures are very old and have survived other quakes. I’m more worried for the people who live under that regime. That country isn’t stable on good days, much less a day like today.

Dude.....the stories I could tell you about Burma and the junta.
