Tell that to Higgins and Jackson. There are a lot of young men that love the game and have loyalty to their coach and school.
I do not know if we will ever know. Kind of feel sorry for the kid, could of left last year. Hope he does well.
O'Keefe was QB coach from 2017-2021. Davis before that.
Possibly but he seemed like a gamer to me we could easily ran a wild cat once in awhile with him being the second option. We used to run it here and there
He was never going to play QB here. The kid had plenty of time to progress and earn playing time and he simply isn't good enough. He will end up like Alex Padilla.

Neither was coached by BF. He wasn't QB coach until KOK retired. Which also happens to coincide with the worst offense in FBS.

Well, it has taken 4 years to build an image of Iowa as one of the least friendly offenses in the country for QB's and wide receivers. Statistically it's the darkest 4 year period in the last 45 years for the program with respect to the passing game and that's not easy considering how the game has evolved.
Lester still has his work cut out to repair the reputational damage that was done. Whether he's the guy to do it remains to be seen, but it's a tall order for anyone, given the fact that the man ultimately responsible for it is still in place.
If you are discussing Marco in this light, you are sorely mistaken, the kid was in a cast and showed up in uniform ready to play if necessary.
My point is bowl games outside the CFP don't have the luster they once did.

They were incompetent at not only the passing game, but until this season the running game as well. And that turned primarily due to the superior efforts of an AA running back.
The trajectory at least appears to be in the right direction now. The passing O, though, still has a fair way to go to reach mediocre status.
Good for Marco… let’s hope he lands in an offense-friendly situation. What he was thinking signing with the Ferentz clan is mind boggling. You have to wonder about any QB signing here until KF is gone, or evidence of change is seen.
lol! Brian and Budmeyr just have a knack when it comes to recruiting and coaching QBs. Ferentz said so, after all.
So I'm not sure what's less surprising. An Iowa QB transferring to an FCS school, or my confusion regarding Iowa fans being concerned that they might leave being completely validated. It's almost like Iowa fans watch no other football other than that which they have been subjected to for the past 5 years or so and have no idea what a good QB is supposed to look like anymore.
He was in good standing and was willing to play with a cast on if needed, Glad He found a home , People busting His balls are losers. Not His fault Iowa is bad at evaluating and developing QBs in the past, He was a good soldier for Iowa .

Beautiful campus and great facilities. He'll like it there and should flourish.
Shimonek had almost 4k passing in 2017. Rudock at Michigan had a more than solid year.
