They knew exactly what happened but didn't want to bring it up. He freezes out any member of the media that brings up bad stuff. It's part of his problem connecting with fans and media. has been for years.

Dochterman and Liestekow have both said they have zero relationship with him.

She also had a nice little tantrum after the game where Payton was showered with post game praise by the media for the first triple double in program history and all butt hurt because it over shadowed pmac who got his 1000tn career point. She didn’t feel like he was “appreciated” enough.
