I've never wrestled competitively (unless wife counts) but follow the Iowa wrestling team more than I follow the football team. I had a dream the other night which involved me having to wrestle "The Bull" at nationals as a fill-in for someone that was sick. Before the match, he looked confident and I was scared as hell and wondering what the hell I'm doing here. During the match, I lost my bearing from being flipped and tossed around like a rag doll and then he wouldn't let me move my arms at all and ended up pinning me. It was as if he had cast a freeze spell on me and rolled me over for the pin. After the match, I told everybody that I had never wrestled before (excuse for the lost) but everybody congratulated me on my effort.

Here's to "The Bull" and his future success at Iowa!!

Does your wife (pic?) find it odd that you wear a singlet to bed?

hahaha...I don't swing that way...unless you are saying that wrestling is homo'ish. I'm sure wrestlers have wrestling dreams and i'm pretty sure they are not homo'ish.

No wet spot that I recall.

In the dream, I don't even remember having a singlet on, just my workout clothes.

Dude…. Are you really conflating wrestling and sex in your first sentence, just before getting on the mat of your dreams with The Bull?

Btw, you don't have to use the term "wife," anymore. Most everybody is coming out of the closet now.

I didn't know whether to offer my congrats for the effort, or sympathy for having to drag around the pair that it took to not only post the original, but to comment again afterward! Those have to be getting heavy. But, a nice laugh at break time anyway.

This sounds like the play by play of a match I had with Jim Gibbons at state Greco one year, my first Greco match ever but not my last, I had some guy named Knight in the next round, that finished it for me.

Hall, "83 times out of 100, wrestling dreams are absolutely ruthless. They want you to represent their program. They want you in their singlet. They all will tell you their place is the best place to achieve your dreams as a wrestler. Anyone who knows who I am, knows my views, and at the end of the day, there is more to life than dreaming about Marinelli. That being said, you CANNOT choose a place for JUST desiring to be pinned by The Bull. Choosing a college just for dream wrestling is like getting a fruit salad just to eat the grapes in it. There is so much more to this life than getting pinned by The Bull, and I can't stress that enough. When your dream is all said and done, you're going to want to cuttle with the man, and for most people, it just doesn't involve being pinned anymore. Recognize this, and don't let anyone cloud your mind with the idea that dreaming about wrestling Marinelli is all that it's cracked up to be...not that there is anything wrong with that!"
