He is visiting NC tomorrow, but Robinson was not on the list of invitees. A smart politician would make no mention of Robinson, but Trump isn't smart. My guess is he goes on a tangent about how he never met Robinson.
The story is developing, but that's one of the weirder aspects of all of this, the stuff about his sister in law. That seems like a bridge too far for the evangelicals in NC, right?

A smart politician would have distanced themselves from the guy a long time ago. Like when he started denying the holocaust or talking about killing people or bringing back slavery.

I've said this before, Robinson, and all the other nuts, aren't Trump. Only Trump seems immune from any consequences to amoral behavior. Robinson was polling well below Trump's level of support in NC. Troublingly high, but, still well below Trump. That is replicated all across the country.

Usually I like to discuss with other viewers any allegorical references in the plot line that I might have missed.
I have loved, and been horrified, by some of the MAGA twats on TV today saying they are still for Robinson. I also heard today that Robinson has been bankrupt more than once. The guy literally wouldn't be qualified to run a McDonalds, but they want him to run a state, and all of the various agencies under the governor's authority. It's effing crazy.
It’s one of the reasons Cooper withdrew from consideration as Harris’ VP. He would have to leave the state and , under NC law, the Lt. Gov becomes acting governor. Imagine this guy actually being in charge?!?!?!
Maybe it’s the modern day equivalent of when my friend used to get Hustler, Swank, Juggs, and Penthouse “just for the articles.”
