I think we need AO’G some against SC just for the size. These are just really big gals. Not saying they aren’t talented but take 4” from them and they aren’t nearly as good.
I understand how that sounds—I’m just saying they are the best basketball players, but they’re huge.

I think we will have to use AOG, Ediger and Goodman if the game is called like this one was.

SC has dominated but the 3 can keep you close. Iowa has a chance here I think.

I do as well. Turnovers will be a big factor. Many of Iowa’s turnovers come from trying to feed the post. Not forcing anything in there against their bigs and settling for mid to long range shots could give Iowa a good chance.

I've noticed this more in the girls game, where players will role them up almost like volleyball shorts.

Hopefully South Carolina will be looking ahead to the finals. They looked bearable to me, but you have to pack in the defense and hope they miss their 3s. Can’t get out rebounded by 20.

This year's Maryland is not a very good rebounding team. Hope Iowa can do better than them.

All south Carolina does is layups. I dont think they've attempted 8 shots outside 8 feet away

They don’t shoot a lot of 3’s, not their game plan. They ended up shooting more against Maryland (15) than they normally take and hit 40% of those. The thing is most teams don’t get a lot of 3’s against them. Iowa will have to find a way to get open 3’s, not an easy task against SC. Their wing defenders are not likely to help on penetration like most teams do, knowing that their bigs will defend the paint.

I don't see Maryland beating South Carolina. I don't see Iowa doing it, either, but I think they have a much better chance than Maryland.

Well, I was partially right. Glad to be wrong. They definitely got Player of the Year right, but lots of others stepped up when called on. Great job by the coaches as well. South Carolina did not play well.
