I wouldn't get too worked up about brain drain; smart lawyers grow on trees, as do less-smart-but-clever ones. And honestly, the thing about main justice types generally is that they confuse simple leverage with great lawyering.

What is worth getting worked up about is that these folks are coming out of the public integrity section, which in my experience, tend to be some of the most ethical people in the entire department.

Just keep excusing everything Trump does. It's what you do.

It is also significant because it represents a brain drain from the DoJ. The people who quit have worked some very high profile cases that resulted in major victories. Are the MAGA twats coming to replace them going to be able to succeed in the court room when they're number one qualification is loyalty to the leader?

There's over a 95% conviction rate in federal court. It's more about resources than talent.

You keep living in the past. You are naive if you think Team Trump is out beating the bushes for the best young talent. They want people who truly believe 1/6 was an FBI plot, and will say so in court. They want people who will root out the non believers.
