Tom Kakert said on twitter that Matt broke his foot today in practice. If this is true it would be a huge loss to our already stagnant passing game.

Feel sorry for Matt. No one wants to see a kid get injured, let alone a senior. Second year in a row the Hawks lose one of their best players after four games.

If true, get ready for McCaron to start. Just kidding...kinda.

This would be awful for the offense but hopefully someone like Scheel or maybe Falconer can take advantage.

Depending how bad the break is I would have thought like 6 weeks versus the whole season??

Hopefully Tom can get some answers on how it happened tomorrow. I'm curious if it was a contact or non-contact injury and if there's any chance he'll be back this year.

Don't most college teams take Monday's off? However I think Iowa changed their schedule and takes Thursdays off instead?

Three backs will get 270-280 yards on the ground...TE will be getting the ball via the air

MM said the prognosis was bleak, maybe bowl game...

Time to go heavy. Run D to get their head out their a$$, and punter needs to keep up the all-conf rate

We all know that KF and the gang don't always play the players with the most talent.. Let's just hope that's the case and there's a diamond on the bench.. Hope MVB gets well soon. Remember Wadley doesn't get the workload he got last year at NW if Jordan C didn't go down early in the game.

Scheel, Nash, McCarron, Young, Falconer - a lot of players who have an opportunity to make a move.

My guess is that McCarron fills the slot going forward and its now time for Jay Scheel to produce. Finally.

Not one of these WRs will replace MVB. Feel bad for Matt. Countless hours of hard work comes to a screeching halt. I first watched him play as a junior in high school. He really caught my attention as a senior - he literally caught everything in sight but my god, he was skinny as a pole. When he committed to Iowa my first thought was that B10 defenders will break him in half. Ironic that he broke a bone while practicing.

Keep an eye on Ronald Nash. I think he has a real shot for serious playing time now. Under-rated IMO.

Don't forget Jonathon Parker, he should be getting healthy soon, he looked good this spring and could help us a great deal. We need to get him the ball in the open field. I feel bad for Matt Vandenberg, he is a great HAWK. Next man in.
