I just feel like it’s too big of a risk to play on a court outside in October? Condensation issues I am sure is the reason why.
I've been wondering what they're going to do for a floor. Surely they wouldn't bring the CHA floor over. Going to guess that somewhere rental synthetic floors are available.Maybe not your typical harwood floor, a synthetic material maybe??
Condensation is not an issue. The court surface is roughly the same temperature as the outside. The only time condensate would form would be if the court was placed over a very cold surface like ice and the surface temp dropped below the dewpoint. This has occurred at the United Center where the Bulls and Hawks share the same facility as well as other venues that do the same. Drying out the inside air is the solution on those situations.I just feel like it’s too big of a risk to play on a court outside in October? Condensation issues I am sure is the reason why.
Sure but then only 13500+ fans of the 55,000 or so sold tickets get into the game.If it’s not safe, they already have a plan in place to move it to Carver.
Me too! We would rotate balls as they froze up and you couldn't dribble them...in the house they went to warm up and out came another one! Those were the days.I played outside in the snow when I was a kid
Spent a lot of time shoveling and getting the ice off in the winter growing up to shoot basketsMe too! We would rotate balls as they froze up and you couldn't dribble them...in the house they went to warm up and out came another one! Those were the days.
PS. I also walked uphill, both ways, to school.![]()
My understanding is that two different tickets were sold. One ticket for a lower price was for Kinnick only and another at a higher price was for Kinnick or Carver if the game is moved.Sure but then only 13500+ fans of the 55,000 or so sold tickets get into the game.
Yes that is correct. BUT the whole idea for this was to set the all time record for attendance at a womens game which is 29000+, and that only happens if they play in Kinnick, so I'm sure they will do their best to make that happen. My understanding is that two different tickets were sold. One ticket for a lower price was for Kinnick only and another at a higher price was for Kinnick or Carver if the game is moved.
Would would cut the fingers off of those brown cotton gloves and play winter basketball on the driveway also! Good memories!Spent a lot of time shoveling and getting the ice off in the winter growing up to shoot baskets
In my day we didn't even have fingers, we cut those off too sissy!Would would cut the fingers off of those brown cotton gloves and play winter basketball on the driveway also! Good memories!
Did this!!! Did you also get some cheap floodlights and an extension cord since it got dark at like 3 in the winter?Me too! We would rotate balls as they froze up and you couldn't dribble them...in the house they went to warm up and out came another one! Those were the days.

We also mowed a baseball field into the empty field at the nearby park.
Kids today suck. 😊
