This is so funny. Now AM has no threat to be replaced. Nebby's win total for next season dropped again.
Whenever I'm tempted to think Iowa football has problems, I remember Nebraska.

Yep, the negativity that goes along with these transfers prolly puts a lot more pressure on Frost to win now. Gonna be a tall task for him. I think this will be his last year.

Ironic thing is they pushed to play football and nosedived their season into this dumpster fire. I highly doubt the transfers happen with no season.

Unfortunately, their defense might be pretty decent. With a lot of 5th/6th year guys returning. Might keep them in an extra game or two like they have against Iowa. But yeah, no way they go bowling.
Add to that list the starting center.
They're trying to spin this as "roster clean up" on the Fusker site. These guys are hardly second tier players.
It won't be. They refuse to acknowledge Frost could fail. They'll blame it on Mike Riley.
I think Debbie will field a better defense, but Frost has never shown that he can field a decent defense, even at Central Florida. I think it has more to do with the one's vs. one's scrimmaging in practice then anything else. Debbie's offense doesn't prepare Debbie's defense for teams like Iowa and Wisconsin. I think Frost would be a better coach for the Big 12 where they don't put a premium on defense, but unless he can field a top 30 defense, he isn't even going to win the West let alone the Big ten.
Hard to imagine what FiDONE was thinking signing with the Huskers? Here's another 4* that'll be irrelevant before he gets done with eligibility. Bagman at work on him?
I think he'll wait for Frost to get canned in two years and end up playing at SDSU or NDSU.

Man, I hope those idiots keep Frost around as long as possible. There are coaches who could probably win over there. It's nice that they don't have one.
Their defense wasn't the worst at times, but yeah overall it's not great. AM swapping with LMC was annoying, but if AM is the only QB I have no worries this year against Nebraska. He just... isn't "it".
And yet, Nebrasky will still talk about how great their recruiting is every year, even though half of their class transfers out within 2 years 😅
Nebraska's problem is that today's high school players weren't even born when the Huskers were still relevant. So those kids don't even remember the "glory days". Frost must be a great recruiter, tho. They get the 4*, they just never develop.

I think it's just as simple as he grew up a Nebraska fan but who knows. If he's good and has the proper work ethic, he'll make it to the NFL despite going to Nebraska.
Both the Farnioks that went to Debbie ending up being medium to large busts with regards to how heavily recruited they were. Apparently coaching and player development matters.
I wouldn't. They fired Solich and then Pelini. While Husker fans will be quick to say there were other factors involved with Pelini's ouster, it's a pretty safe bet those factors become immaterial had Pelini ever won a conference championship or put Nebraska in the conversation for national title contention. The bottom line is Pelini was fired because Nebraska erroneously thought they were still a blue blood in college football and could do better.
The truth is Nebraska is no more an attractive coaching destination than Iowa State, Iowa, or any other Midwest school. Hell, I would argue it's less attractive because of the fan base and unrealistic expectations.

Yeah, I think a bowl game is a must this season for him. Also agreed that Nebraska isn't an impossible job. I stopped believing those existed after we saw Baylor become relevant, Campbell turned ISU into a conference title contender. All you need is the right guy.
