So backups with experience don’t matter? So couple these with other recruits/players either didn’t make it to campus or left very early doesn’t matter? While they may not be starters per se they did play, 2 of them significantly, plus Robinson leaving and all the Florida recruits. Sure it leaves room for the underclassmen, but they are leaving, too or aren’t being developed.
I'm just talking about these 3. Since the end of the season, the only guy who left who has been a loss is Robinson. During the season, the players from Florida leaving is concerning. Id imagine some is COVID related, but that needs to be sorted out.
The rest of the guys are positive attrition.
Farniok - He's never gonna play at Nebraska. He just keeps falling further and further behind on the depth chart. Maybe an FCS level player
Anderson - He was always a project. He just didnt work out. I think he just has a high metabolism or something as he cant keep on weight.
Boe Wilson - Was a Senior, so he could have come back. He started some games 2 and 3 year ago but has been passed up by Freshemn and RS Freshmen. Pretty much everyone expected him to transfer as he wasnt getting alot of PT
Kade Warner - He is a former walkon who was benched for poor performance. He ws a good guy, I dont want to crap on him, buts he not really a good player.
Green - Not int he rotation, passed u by others
Then Nebraska added an FCS All American who probably could have gotten drafted and a RB from USC that USC didnt want to lose, but he left as they run the Air Raid there so he wasnt getting touches.
ALL in ALL, the net positive from the portal outweighed the losses since the end of the season.
