McCaffrey From Nebraska: He Gone

Results on the field are secondary to that notion.

Nebraska is a national program going through a tough patch. No different from USC, Texas, Michigan, Miami, and Tennessee.

You know what the sad part is? You actually believe that.

Do any of those programs have the football tradition and rabid fan support that’s in Lincoln?

Think....

And what you are going through is not a rough patch. Those last 2-3 years. What NU is going through is much worse. Titanic

Gonna be fun in a couple years when FiDONE is looking for a new home.

husker tradition like none other. Having 4* skill players come in to have their fan base brag about they are the second coming. Only to have them leave the program after a short stint then to have the fans say addition by subtraction with the next crop of recruits coming in that are even better. Rinse and repeat almost every year for them.

FiDONE has been pretty active on twitter since he started being recruited. I imagine he's going to have a VERY hard time with a transfer decision when the time comes because it'll mean he's going to be eating crow. In fact... it might even mean he'll stick it out when a new HC arrives in two years.

The QB situation in Lincoln is laughable. That team has zero chance to succeed until they develop an OLine... specifically a center that can snap the ball in a shotgun formation. It was comical watching their games last fall.

Oh, and a special teams coach that can count to eleven also would help.

True however I think of 2 cases of guys pumping up Iowa as recruits who didn't make it or last. Granted different circumstances but Eno Benjamin was one. We all know why he didn't come but he was the biggest vocal Iowa supporter on social media before the whole visit fiasco. The other was Ezra Miller. No one visited Iowa more often then he did. Then the injury retirement and decision to play again and he left for Lincoln. So I don't expect Fidone to leave after 1st year but he's a big time recruit. If he thinks they aren't using him right, new coach comes in or feel like they system or lack of touches or something to that degree hurting his draft stock (being a big time recruit he thinks he will be in the NFL) could cause him to seek out a change of scenery ala Wandale Robinson. Because end of the day lot of these guys or me not team guys when it comes to doing whatever it takes to make the league.
