So far the "meaningless" bowl games that I have watched have been more entertaining than the first round of the College Football Playoffs. Six overtimes in the Pitt/Toledo game today and the Rutgers/K State game is fun so far. Anyone else agree or are you only interested in the games that could lead to a national championship?

The kids that get to play care a lot and they get to try a bunch of crazy shit

Disagree. Haven’t watched bowl games outside of Iowa and playoffs in years. Just don’t care for them.

Agree with OP, though I would add that it wouldn’t have hurt anything to end the Pitt-Toledo game in a tie. Either call it at the end of Q4, or after the “normal” OT periods. Sort of like when they called the MLB all star game because no one wanted to pitch extra innings.

They don't bother playing defense which makes them fun. I'm all for these games as long as people just take them for what they are. A fun scrimmage game with teams that have very little in common with the team that played the regular season and some kids that get to have fun playing a game.

I also agree with OP. Very entertaining games tonight. Although I did enjoy the volunteers get embarrassed the other night.

Games ending in ties tho? Hard pass. Idk what the answer is for OT rules but at the end of the day a T next to the outcome is dumb.

Stick to soccer for your precious ties.

I predict in Iowa's meaningless bowl game some defense will be played.

I think of these games as exhibition games of teams that rarely meet where players and fans get to have fun in a unique location. For me the holiday season wouldn't be the same without them.

Just funny watching you try to talk football. Old breitbart boy loves himself some ties.
From the guy who never talks football, except after googling old OU rosters. You really need to develop some self-awareness, Nicholas.

Said it many times. I love the bowls. People who hate them hate college football imo. It's matchups that you don't see any other time of the year. Many times the games are close and the teams get chippy. Toledo rushed the field 3 times yesterday. Tell me it didn't mean anything.
