Playoffs VS Bowl Games

Very simple. Keep.bowls open ti select from the teams eliminated in the first 2 rounds of the playoffs.

Players need to be on contracts immediately with serious penalties for opting out. Hit their pockets in huge ways and that will stop.
Yeah, because the players are the problem with college football. lol, get a grip.

The playoffs are great but there is no reason to get rid of the bowls. I love watching bowl games. There is some great football in some of the games. I try to watch at least some of every single bowl game and as many full games as I can.

I just lost a playoff game. Time to go play in the shitwater bowl so some punk team can beat us and say they belong.

Pass.

There is no logical argument for Bowl games to continue to exist in the current College football landscape. As the playoffs expand, bowl games will die a slow death. Nobody cares who won the reliaquest bowl between Michigan and Alabama, especially when half the starters opt out. The bowl system is antiquated and lasted much longer than it should have. Lastly, I can’t remember the last bowl game I watched outside of Iowa bowls, but I’ve watched every playoff game so far.
I agree. Just let all the teams have the extra practice in December. The schools could probably sue the ncaa for it and win anyways.

Then with NIL money pay for the seniors and draft guys to go on a cruise to their warm destinations of choice instead of shoehorning them into a stupid bowl that only the organizers make money off anyways. And the bowls haven’t been all about great weather and destinations for a long time.

This is absolutely silly. If we did a rewind for the last 25 years there are easily 3 Iowa teams (2002, 2009, 2015) that are HOSTING a playoff game and a few others that are somewhere on the fringe.
2002 and 2015 Iowa prob hosts. 2009 Iowa is an away team.

I'm really, really, really liking these playoff games on campus. They need to add more of these to the system. In fact, I'd be kind of upset if I got one of the top 4 seeds and did not get to host a game at my stadium.

They should flip the round that gets home field. 1st 4 games are the bowls. Bye teams get home field campus advantage.
