This is a ridiculous oversight, if which I'm sure there are many more in the bill because Iowa Republicans.
But I actually agree with her premise. The dollars the schools are getting back should be able to be used for any general fund purpose. There's already way too many restrictions on spending in schools, many of which don't make sense. Let schools make decisions at the local level as to what to do with their dollars.
We're going to be using ours to significantly increase our district contribution towards health insurance. If a district wants to use that money to pay their paras more, that's awesome.
