Dweeby? Ouch! Words hurt too, Lawn Boy. I'm actually realistically expecting a 20 point win based on what I've seen from both teams this year. But if Iowa does somehow lose, I won't hang my head. Have some pride.
You're drinking too much of the yellow water, friend!

Over here? Me Personally? I love the Hawks through and through, but much like in parenting you have to recognize the limitations of your children. I'll just leave it at that.

Judging by your attitude we probably shouldn't even go to Lincoln since we're just setting ourselves up for failure. I'm sure you'll succeed in keeping your kids from achieving. Wouldn't want them to aim too high and be disappointed.

I don't have kids, but it's analogy most of our fans would get so I used it.

It's not that you hold your kids back, but you just have to be realistic in your own expectations of them. So, with the football team I will cheer them on regardless of the season...but I'm not going to set myself up for the pain that comes with truly believing we are a championship level team before we play any teams worth a damn.

I'll eat my crow if I'm wrong, but we seem to be a paper-bird due to our schedule. We didn't exactly dominate our easy competition and don't really look the part at all.

Sadly, you sound like a lot of Iowa fans. And you're definitely not cut out to be a Cubs fan :)

I'm just highly pragmatic, and in this case it comes off as being pessimistic.

I'd be OK with being a Cubs fan, because I'd just enjoy the season for what it is...all along knowing we'll fall apart before all is said and done ;)

There's a quiet comfort in knowing and accepting your team for what it is.

If you're going to the game prepare your family to see a lot of women dressed like this!

I posted a thread on the Nebraska board along with the video of the goal posts coming down at Minnesota, I honestly thought I wasn't trolling I simply asked if they were prepared for this to possibly happen on Friday.

It didn't turn out so well for me.
You are going to take the goal post after beating a 5-7 team? Obviously tell you haven't had this type of success ever.

The world doesn't revolve around Nebraska. If we beat Nebraska we're 12-0, and that is something to celebrate. I don't care if we finish 12-2, 12-0 in the regular season is amazing.

We don't look the part? Watching Daniels and Wadley run up and down the field looks pretty sweet to me. Why don't you dust off the VCR and go watch some championship Husker football.
