Method to my madness/why did I pick Iowa to lose?

So for those of you who stuck with my negative game prediction threads and predictions of Iowa to lose, I thank you. I realize a few people ignored me along the way, oh well. Others called me an idiot. I was down on Kirk Ferentz after 2014 and even called for a change. I was wrong on that. I thought for sure Iowa would go 1-1 vs Illinois St/Iowa St which is why I picked them to lose both. I was wrong on that. After Iowa started 2-0 I thought, surely we will see Old Kirk and Iowa drops one to Pitt, so I picked them to lose. I was wrong.

At that point and with Iowa 3-0. I said to myself I am going to run with this and just pick Iowa to lose until they do. Did I actually think Iowa would lose or want them to lose to North Texas? Purdue? etc... Absolutely not. However, it was the superstitious side of me who though as long as I pick Iowa to lose and they win I will stick with it. We all know it had no impact on the games, but it was my "act" for the year.

So since Iowa finally dropped a game to MSU, which really bummed me out. I am finally coming here to tell all. By the way, what a great showing/environment in Indianapolis. It was an amazing/addictive time. I would go back to a CCG in a heartbeat.

Maybe we will all get the chance to go back next year.

I caught on when you said we would lose to Purdue. No one loses to Purdue.

I kind of did something similar a few years back with Cards in the WS. Every game they would lose I'd say they're bums and not win again. When they did when it was "I knew it all along". I can sometimes have dreams about games that can be very close to or actually being the score. Not all the time, but night before game I had a dream we were losing big in the fourth, Hawks coughing up the ball left and right. Then, we fumble on first series and I'm thinking oh no. Of course it ended up a nail biter. I woke up after that dream, had another where the Hawks were up big. Not even close again.

I've been picking against the Hawks since 2002 as a "reverse mojo". Didn't do it much this year, though.
