Michigan is an 8 point favorite over Iowa

There is no logical explanation for why Northwestern gives Iowa fits in both football and basketball. And, in much the same way, Iowa has played a lot of good games and even pulled a some upsets over Michigan in both sports. This is not a prediction... just an observation that the Hawkeyes don't mind walking into the arena with the Wolverines.

Just for the record, Iowa did beat top-ten Michigan 74-59 a while back.

BTW: Iowa was a similar favorite over Rutgers recently . . .

Regardless of the line, MI will look to prove themselves in this game vs a matchup that has not proved to be favorable for them. If Iowa shoots well, they’ll definitely beat the line.

This game will either be really good or really bad.

I hope JB is well rested because the pressure he is going to see tonight is going to be relentless.

We took them to overtime in last year's tournament as a 12 seed with only 4 conference wins....

It's what makes sports fun. If the favorite always won, there wouldn't be much to the whole competition thing.

I think Michigan is a good match up for Iowa. They are very limited in their options when he is on the bench. Iowa sometimes wilts a bit offensively when teams get physical on defense, but Michigan doesn't play real physical. Key will be to get Teske in foul trouble. Michigan really doesn't have good options with size when he is off the court.

If they play with the same defensive energy tonight as they did last night, we'll have a shot to win unless ice cold shooting sets in for us. I like our chances.

Hopefully there's still Mojo left over from last night. Need to get Teske and the other big setting on the bench early.

Yes. I remember his backup getting abused the first time we played
