Honestly, I find it hard to dislike Izzo. Yes, he’s an ass with the officials but he gives credit where credit is due. He’s alright in my book.

I am really disappointed with Idontlikepeople's take. If he or she could have tried harder, they could have fit in a few more F-Bombs. Pretty weak.
There are only a handful of programs that have achieved what Michigan St has under Izzo. Lose 4 out of 5 and certain fans are ready to show him the door. Short sided view. I assume they believe his replacement would just continue to win and be relevant. Not always a given.

All fans, everywhere, all the time. MSU tonight, OSU Saturday, Iowa fans last Thursday. Nature of the beast called the fan. At the end of the year every fan base save one says, " if the coach had only..."
To their point though, his players started to look like they were checking out on him throughout the game.

He's got some good points. He has often been complimentary to Iowa/Iowa players in past, but tends to be backhanded. Clemmons went off at Breslin one year, and izzo said he was good young man, had great game, but that was basically a career game...turned out to be correct, but still backhanded.
Izzo said Iowa fans should be happy to have Lickliter....it has been proven without a doubt that LIckliter was an awful coach and Stephens was brains at Butler.
Izzo has always been a bit of an enigma for me,.. Easy to hate when he's winning and very hard to dislike when he's losing.
From where they have been under Izzo to getting beat down by 26 points to a team that was below them in the standings before last night, you can see where they are coming from. No, Iowa is not Nebraska. But neither is Iowa Purdue.
Izzo appears to have lost a bit off his fastball. With what he's done, he will be able to go out when he wants to. But great job by Iowa of not letting up on them last night.
We have seen and heard basically the same stuff around here this season. Fans are going to be fans and say stupid stuff, I know I have. Izzo is still pulling in recruits that we want.
Not having any problem disliking him now that MSU is struggling. His antics court side makes it pretty easy.

2. His kids play hard for him, and I believe he cares about his kids.
3. He shows good sportsmanship, and generally handles losing with class.
4. He cares about his school and represents it well most of the time.

This board melted down when the Murray twins were offered scholarships. That, and that alone, makes the lunacy of any basketball forum meltdown from here to eternity mild by comparison. And far less dumb.
Izzo is nothing but a little bitch. Remember when he said Todd Lickliter is a great coach and Iowa was stupid to fire him? He thinks he is bigger than the game, but the only thing bigger than the little bitch Izzo is his ego.
True but that is one of the weakest MSU efforts we've seen in quite a long time, probably since the Lickliter-boner game. Our defense still remains average-at-best on a good day, and they couldn't get anything going at all.
Izzo has NINE top 100 recruits on his roster....NINE! Iowa has 1, Patrick McCaffery.
Agree totally!! They should have kicked our butts without a coach.
They got their asses handed to them. Not by bottom feeders, but hardly world beaters. Not really an unexpected fan forum response after that showing.
