Nobody in the Big Ten is good outside of Purdue. What has happened to this conference?
I don’t have an answer, but this is just my honest opinion. For years and years, the BIG represented some of very best educational institutions in the country. And the BIG schools were getting some of the best athletes who were held acountable on and off the field/court. Well, eventually athletes figured out they could go to certain schools and pkay with minimal effort in the classroom. In fact, it’s been well documented at some schools athletes don’t even have to attend class. And it was shown last year that an athlete could give his friend a gun to kill someone, but still be in the starting line up the very next night. In other words, there is very little accountability throughout the country. But I believe the BIG still has high expectations of their student athletes. So many of the best athletes opt to go play where things are “easy.” This the BIG isn’t getting the cream of the crop anymore. But as far as life after football, athletes who graduate from a BIG school will be rewarded way more the rest of their lives regardless of whether or not they played on a championship team.
Don't care for Michigan State. But much like Iowa, they usually start the conference schedule slow, then get better. However, they have the athletes, coach, and experience that Iowa doesn't have this year.
Purdue's one trick pony act isn't particularly good either,.. entire conference is down this year.
Look at Purdue’s wins. You’re way off base.
They had the same wins last year and were ranked #1 at times. They're going to win B1G easily...doing well in the NCAA tourney is doubtful.
You’re probably right, but it’s always the fans whose teams look awful who are screaming this the loudest. 😂
They've beaten Marquette, Gonzaga, Tennessee, and Bama already this season. 4 top 15 teams and we're in December. Now they could certainly choke but these are all potential Final 4 teams.
