***** Midlands Session 2 *****

Can anyone explain why Bowman's TD was called off? It seemed like a routine TD to me, he basically spun around his opponent, so I'm puzzled what the issue was.

Laux vs Valdi (NW)
TD V 0-2
R Laux 2-2
E V - Laux 13 seconds RT

Not sure what happenned, but 2-4 after 2

3rd Laux starts out on bottom

1st Period - Murin vs Carr - IL
IL dives for a single, no go. Back to feet
0-0 at 2:00 mark
Double by IL, scramble, TD for IL 0-2
Murin up and shakes him off for reversal 2-2
Go OB with :50 left still 2-2 Max riding
End of 1 2-2 with 1:13 of RT

Laux can't get out.
Finally gets E after giving up RT 3-4
loses 3-5

This was really poor coaching on WVU's part. There is no way the typical WVU kid outconditions an Iowa kid and wins one at the end. The WVU kid should have been attacking early.
Good match, good win for the Warner kid.[/QUOTE

LOL u Penn State boys can sure come up with the best shit..So Iowa guys are not in shape as GOOD as WVU.,..Was that your brother or something dam maybe u should coach..

Murin down to start 2nd
IL legs in, now Max is up and out 3-2, RT under 1 min now
Murin on Single but goes OB
Snap down, reshot in on the ankles, scramble, nothing end of 2 3-2 Murin

Start of 3rd
Neutral by IL
Shot by IL, reshot by Murin, nothing
Half shot by IL
IL in on single on edge of mat, nothing 3-2 with 1:16 left
Still nothing :30 left 3-2
Kid from IL is going after it but Max has good head and hands wins 3-2

Very low single for TD 16-2
Release 16-3
Shot attempt OB restart with :23 left

What are you talking about. Stupid move, got caught. Beats that guy 9/10 times.
disagree - he got caught watching the paint dry. Had no idea how to finish this punk. He laid back and let the match come at him. I actually anticipated it out of the long, long, long unwarranted injury time!

Really not sure I follow you. Nothing new there. What I wrote was straight forward. Since you apparently feel as though I slighted your kid or program, please go back and have somebody reread my post to you and then let me know what I said that was offensive.

This was a response to MinnHawk. His response was typed inside my original post, so when I quoted him nothing was there.

i'll take Lugo vs Cortez
Question is do you take Lugo vs Zain or whoever you have at 141 vs Cortez.

If looking at next year it will be either Berge or Verkleeren vs Lugo or whoever (Murin) vs Nick Lee.

You are not going out on much of a limb taking a decent 149 pounder to beat a decent 141 pounder.

Is Turk a Mike Kelly clone?
Doubt it. Mike Kelly didn't have very high expectations, but worked his ass off every match and won some he shouldn't and made some matches real interesting even though he didn't win. I don't think we have seen that out of Turk yet. Hope he gets things figured out though. Happel has been wrestling pretty well though!

I think Spicolli was saying he would take Lugo vs Cortez and do play by play for their match. Not PSU’s Cortez
