Miller Moss looking at Iowa?

Live look at KF.

I for one would be ecstatic if we got Moss. Seems like a great fit since he's the type of QB that should be in a run-first offense.

And I really don't understand where all the naysayers about next year are coming from. Many teams are losing a ton of 5th and 6th year guys this year, not just us. From what I hear we got some dudes coming up in the OL.

Getting a QB or WR don’t mean shit if we don’t have an OL. Our OL was horrid and the guys behind them couldn’t surpass the terrible starters.
Horrid? Lmao.

This line definitely had it's struggles the past couple seasons.

But this season it is a semi-finalist for the Joe Moore award and Iowa led the league in rushing.

Do you even know what you're saying? I couldn't be more confused about how you could say this

I know exactly what I’m saying. The line was HORRID this year. Anyone with eyes knows this. But by all means bury your head back in the sand.

Yeah, the nominators of the Joe Moore clearly agree with you.

Just curious- how does a team with a horrid O-line lead the league in rushing? Don't think I've ever seen that before.

Are you OK?

Focus needs to be on OL and DL along with a linebacker or two.
Agreed.

And Miller Moss doesn’t exactly scream dual threat. I just don’t see him as being an upgrade to Cade McNamara. Without a stout OL and playmakers at WR, I am not sure how effective Moss would be in this system.

I doubt Moss picks Iowa, but I really hope the staff goes a different direction at quarterback.

Ever watched him play?

Moss said that in his next step, he's going to look for a school that can compete for a conference championship and win "at the highest level."

Does that scream Iowa to anyone here?
The former walkon at Mich proved he can win a huge game, even though it was their defense that won it, with the cooperation of OSU. But Moss is probably a better passer than the Mich walkon. If Moss gets an offer from Mich he is taking it and Iowa will be out of luck

Mich coach Moore will have an even better OLine next year. It took him awhile this year to replace his whole Oline from the championship team.

He's an instant upgrade over Cade. Sullivan was an upgrade over Cade. The question today is how much of an upgrade he is over Sullivan. His passer rating was pretty modest considering the significant talent advantages they had at wide receiver vs a team like Iowa.

They also got one of the top rated recruits in high school this year. Moss would be a great one year fill in for underwood to be college ready… I would take moss in a heartbeat, but it’s not happening.
There will be a lot of options in portal next week, last year we had no OC, no one wanted to commit with no OC lined up. We’ll get someone that helps our team I’m sure of it.

Got a feeling this is KFs swan song season. Wants to go out on a high note!

If Logan Jones stays, I’m good with Jones, Stephens, and Dunker with the young guys fighting it out for the other 2 spots. Totally agree on DL. Need DTs bad. I actually like our young LBs, but would be fine getting 2 new corners.
I want to see the transfer from North Dakota at center. Ready for Logan Jones to move on. Pieper and Stevens at guard. Dunker and Lauck at the tackles.

There's ZERO chance he goes to Michigan. They just paid BIG $$$ for the top high school QB in the country that they flipped from LSU.
I suspect he included them to drive up the price for his services.

Disagree. I-lines evolve, fame to fame and tear to year. “Health” is #1 for any team… most successful teams avoid injuries. Look at Indiana this treat as a prime example. They started the same o-line every game this year except for tOSU..Being healthy ( keeping players able to play) is important.

so who would people rather have miller moss or kaidon Slaton the liberty qb transfer?
Is slaton getting a look? I’d prolly rather have Moss if we can keep Sullivan too…
Arkansas just lost a good young QB as well, dual threat type guy 4 star out of HS… did well in limited playing time this year…
Gonna be A LOT of QBs in portal

Bring your wallet…THAT is the gamble….why would colleges be better at this lottery than the pros? What is the “bust or best” ratio in the NFL? ;)

It has worked well for Oregon, and I know Iowa is not Oregon, but cam ward is another perfect example.
Oregon is more offensively oriented and Iowa is built in the opposite direction. It’s gonna be tough for Iowa to bring in a high quality QB as opposed to Oregon, USC, tOSU, Michigan and other “marquis” schools. They have to find the “right guy” like Indiana did…Indiana/Cignetti will have an easier time now after their initial success.

somehow feels like whoever lester brings on will do a good job. whether it's a known name or random guy who transfers in, we should be okay. same kind of deal like if parker brings in a db transfer, you can be sure he'll be decent to great. no coincidence that both lester and parker were all conference/AA type players at the positions they teach.
