I am not on Twitter so I cannot argue, but Wisconsin controls their own destiny.
Yes.So does Iowa have a great chance as well then with that logic?
They have a 42 yo qb.. don’t sleep on that crafty vet. That's one team I never worry about. I feel like Minnesota to Iowa....is what Iowa is to Purdue.
Don't know why people are obsessed with this mediocre team? Minnesota's schedule is not easy for Minnesota. All teams left on their schedule they can beat without a miracle.
They're only league loss was to OSU. No Penn State, Michigan, or Michigan State.
It wouldn't be a monumental effort to beat Iowa and Wisconsin.
They beat Purdue and were respectable in losing to the Buckeyes.
They already laid their egg against Bowling Green.
None of the teams in the West have the offense that can keep up with the Buckeyes.Doesn't matter who wins the West, they will get destroyed in Indy. We are not done losing. Just got dominated by a bad Purdue team at home on homecoming. Only sure wins are Illinois, and NW, however as bad as our offense is, if the opponent doesn't turn the ball over it will be very hard for us to score against anyone with the shit show we have at qb and our offense as a whole.
Dumb question. Everyone keeps calling Purdue a bad team. I'm not saying they are great, but they are 4-2, a few overthrown passes from 5-1 and maybe even 6-0. They have a top 10 scoring defense. And have generally been the better team in games, with the exception being ND. They aren't sneaking wins. So why are they considered bad?Doesn't matter who wins the West, they will get destroyed in Indy. We are not done losing. Just got dominated by a bad Purdue team at home on homecoming. Agree. They are not a bad team. I think just because it's been a long time since they've been relevant, or even ranked, that people think that. The D End was the best defensive player I've seen this year. Absolutely dominated wherever he played.Dumb question. Everyone keeps calling Purdue a bad team. I wouldn't worry to much. Purdue controlled them in the trenches. They had one run over 15 yards I think? And it required them to rip the jersey off the Purdue LB. Iowa should beat them. What scares me about Minnesota is they can control the Line both DL and OL. They are really big.
Agree completely. Purdue is not a bad team at all, based on what I saw on Saturday. Granted, it's clear that Iowa wasn't the 2nd-best team in the nation, but we're a legit top 20 team, and Purdue completely took us apart. Yes, Iowa stunk up the field and played their worst game this season by a mile, but Purdue obviously had a lot to do with that.Dumb question. Everyone keeps calling Purdue a bad team. If that offense (the one that makes the easy throws) shows up vs minny and ND, we are honestly talking about 6-0 Purdue.Agree completely. They laid their first egg against Bowling Green. They still have more to lay...
On another note, Jack Plummer's aunt and uncle are some of our best friends. Was happy to see Jack have a great game for his sake and for theirs. Great kid, from a super family! If that offense (the one that makes the easy throws) shows up vs minny and ND, we are honestly talking about 6-0 Purdue.
Factually incorrect.Iowa does control it's own fate. If they win out, they win the West.
ESPN power index gives Nebraska a 51% chance of beating Iowa.So I see we are favored in our last 5 games. So even though we technically don't control our own fate, the oddsmakers think we will win them all. 2.5 against Wiscy, 8.5 against NW, 11.5 against Minny, 16 against the Illini and 5.5 at Nebraska.
That's great to hear! I'm a fan of Jack. Hoping he sticks around next year for a breakout year.On another note, Jack Plummer's aunt and uncle are some of our best friends. Was happy to see Jack have a great game for his sake and for theirs. Great kid, from a super family!
I hope so, too. Not sure if you Boiler fans knew, but his dad grew up in the Des Moines area and currently lives in Dubuque, Iowa. He has an aunt, uncle, grandparents, and cousins in Des Moines. Has a cousin who goes to Iowa, in fact. Lots of Iowa connections despite having grown up out in Arizona. That's great to hear! I'm a fan of Jack. Hoping he sticks around next year for a breakout year.
I'm not sure many do actually. I think we just all assume they are in Zona, especially with his brother down there. They like purdue?I hope so, too. I agree with you about Purdue being a good team. Too many butthurt “fans” here that don’t seem to really understand football. Purdue will compete with most teams because of their D, alway know Brohm will have a good O game plan and will move the ball.If that offense (the one that makes the easy throws) shows up vs minny and ND, we are honestly talking about 6-0 Purdue.
His family in Iowa are all Iowa fans -- but they sure as heck were Boiler fans on Saturday!I'm not sure many do actually. I think we just all assume they are in Zona, especially with his brother down there. They like purdue?
Yep, after Iowa they have the next best chance. All teams left on their schedule they can beat without a miracle.

True, but Purdue isn't winning out ,so....There you go right there, by definition we do not control our own destiny….if we win out and Purdue does, it’s over.
IF. Just like IF Clifford hadn't been knocked out. You've been a good sport with your win. Don't go become some kind of PSU fan....If that offense (the one that makes the easy throws) shows up vs minny and ND, we are honestly talking about 6-0 Purdue.
Oh. That wasn't a brag or a flex. Purdue has their issues. I was just figuring the rationale behind calling them bad. Idk if Purdue isn't good, but they aren't bad imo.IF. Just like IF Clifford hadn't been knocked out. You've been a good sport with your win. Don't go become some kind of PSU fan....
so you're a crybaby because we lose to purdue, then decide the team that lost to bowling green has a good shot at the west? All teams left on their schedule they can beat without a miracle.

what a foking moron!! LMFAONo, Iowa does NOT control its destiny.
Again, Hassel is right. Only Minnesota controls its own destiny. Iowa & Purdue need help.
People like you tried to argue with him & his response was correct each time.
This thread isn't about us. Sounds like you're the one being a crybaby about this thread.so you're a crybaby because we lose to purdue, then decide the team that lost to bowling green has a good shot at the west?
lol
at iowa at ind and vs wiscy stillThis thread isn't about us. Sounds like you're the one being a crybaby about this thread.
They do have a good shot at winning the west. So do we.
They can beat Wisconsin at home.at iowa at ind and vs wiscy still
pump the brakes bub
and nw beat stanford before we curbstomped NW in 2015They can beat Wisconsin at home.
I think that will be easier than beating Iowa at Kinnick, but they did beat Purdue that curb stomped us.
But I hear you. I should have said they have a good chance, instead of a great chance.
