I drive through snow every winter on my way to work in Vegas....just in case anyone cares.
I'm more worried about the Monday rain than this one.
Its apparently going to rain no matter what, maybe heavily.
But if the temps slip below freezing...

prob cause a little flooding with the cold ground plus rain melting all the sitting snow.
that will definitely help with the thaw. Hopefully it will warm the ground up enough where the ground can soak up moisture instead of all the rain running off.
Can't wait for it to warm up enough to clear the roads - especially the side & secondary roads/alleys - but the 'rain+snow melt=likely flooding basement & other areas where I don't want a bunch of water' is gonna be a bitch.
And like @bagdropper said, if/when it slips below freezing for any kind of extended period after the snow starts melting + rainfall .... 🥶
Which, if happens, will mean black ice and slippery road conditions at the worst times to have to deal with them (late evening through early/mid-AM). 🤬
