You got that right. Really wish they had a better record with this years schedule and rushing attack.
i definitely like him but until lester can repeat this feat i would call it the johnson-lester effect
just imagine for a minute "what if Iowa could throw the ball"
I'm sure people will correct me if I'm wrong, but it seemed to me that Lester called different plays depending upon which QB was taking the snaps. The designed runs were the same, of course, but there were more traditional passes with Cade, more RPOs with Sully, and then the shorter play sheet for Stratton because he had been on the scout team until UCLA week and there was reason to be risk-averse. Sort of a scratch where it itches approach.I think Lester did the best he could with the talent he inherited.
Now, lets hope we see progress in year 2 (especially in the passing game). Hopefully the QB room is better next year!
so.....tall skinny white guys onlyIn the bye week Lester said pretty much that; ie, you have to be able to pass the ball to win games. Somehow we won 8 of 12. He also said they will be aggressive in the transfer portal.
Here's the current QB room for next year (I think!).
Is it safe to assume that @EvilMonkeyInTheCloset will be expecting a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP?

Idk I think the run blocking was very good this year. Kaleb (and others) had a number of long runs where they were virtually untouched. I think in the few games where they struggled, it had more to do with the defense selling out due to lack of respect for our QB play.Even more amazing is it was done behind a very average oline.
