i know he hasn't been in the end of games rotation but dude was on fire! I don't remember him hardly playing from about the 8 min mark or so.

Yeah also a strange stat.....in games where Moss scores double figures we've won all but 2. Both where he carried us and got double figures in 1st half....and where we lost both in double OT.

Brady was good in 2nd half run defensively so I see why Fran stuck with him but I'd still like more Moss down the stretch

Last night there were a lot of "odd" rotations. It seemed like Fran was trying to go Big against Minny and I did not understand some of the line-ups he put out there.

Moss was on Fire and then when Jok got "hot" we sat Moss. Why would you do that, keep your two hottest players on the court, make minny have to hustle and guard 2 people.

The Hawks made their second half run from 13 down with Brady on the floor and Moss on the bench.....worked out o.k.

I've think Moss has been better without Pete on the floor w him at the same time or in periods of time when Pete isn't crushing it. This game and NE game (in Lincoln) Moss has carried the team along until Pete got hot BUT when Pete is clicking Moss seems to do a bunch of standing.

Personally though I think Moss had his best game yet and not bc of just the points but how he got them, he finally was attacking the hoop out of the half court set. The kid will be able to live at the FT line once he stops settling for jumpers after he has his man on his hip.

Oh I know, but there were some stretches where we had Jok & Bohannon out there. That was our only offensive threats. Ellingson playsed a great game defensively, but really didn't give us much on the offensive end.

I would just think you would play your "hot" players when they are shooting and attacking the rim.

If the refs just give Iowa a timeout or award the ball to Iowa with 20 seconds left in regulation because Murphy was out of bounds, the talking about playing time is moot. Iowa was down 13, and Fran was basically trying anything at that time to get back in the game. The lineup of Bohannon, Jok, Ellingson, Baer and Pemsl was the one that put Iowa ahead, and Fran decided to ride it all the way to the end. And it would have worked, but for one botched call. Once OT started, likely would have been good to sub more, but hindsight is easy to second guess.

It is going to kill me to miss the NCAA Tourney with the missed opportunities we’ve had like last night. We still had opportunities to win at the end of regulation and the first OT, just couldn’t get it done. We missed plenty of free throws at the wrong time also. The refs didn’t do us any favors, but we still could have won that game. This one really stings. I can’t imagine the treatment is going to be any better at Sparty this weekend. At this point, all I can do is hope it all comes together (including Fran’s rotations) by BTT time. That will be our only shot.

Fran out coached again. How do you not play Moss. Dude is an a freak athlete. If it were for Jok getting on Fire and making everything Iowa would have gotten blown out by 20. I would be an easy thing to coach. Ok guys get Peter the ball I think he's on fire.

Hurts losing that game. Don't forget the bucket at the end of the first half- looked like it shouldn't have counted.

But Isaiah Moss has been a revelation in a few games this year. He is a rare talent IMO and I hope that he taps all that potential. He is the most fun Iowa bball player in a long time and watching him is a treat. I hope we can start getting him out in transition more as I feel that is where he shines best. GO ISAIAH MOSS!

Of course Iowa had other opportunities to win the game, but the BEST opportunity to win the game was ripped away by the referees. Iowa was a 7.5 point underdog. They were behind by 14 in the second half and got the game to the point where Iowa had possession of the ball, up 2 with 20 seconds left. Teams in those situations win about 80 percent of the time. It wasn't a matter of Iowa missing free throws, or throwing the ball away. It was a matter of an entire ref crew making 2 huge mistakes on the same play. That sucks.

The more I think about it the worse it seems.

Out of the entire roster Moss is really the only guy who is good on both ends of the court. Everyone else is weak on one or the other.

Maybe Baer I guess too.

Looks like maybe Moss is seeing the same things that we were in this thread last week. Really hope he doesn't leave. And wish he'd play down the stretch over Ellingson!
