I think Garza made huge strides but was solid to begin with. I thought he was the most improved player this year. Just has that competitive fire. Moss made some strides and could be really good next year. Looking forward to seeing if cook can pick up a little more touch but saw some improvement from last year. My opinion for top 3 improved players. We went from young and inexperienced last year to a good team this year. I'm hoping for greatness next season and a top 3 finish in the conference.

I have got to go with a Kreiner. He has become a capable back up. When looking at the final stats I was a bit surprised how many fewer rebounds Garza had this year compared to last. I also thought Garza was going to be north of 35% on 3 point shots after he was knocking that shot down pretty consistently 2nd half of last season. He had a streak where he shot the 3 very poorly this year. Still think next year that will be a valuable part of his game. Really nice to have a big that knocks down FTs like he does. Garza scored about the same as last year while Kriener more than doubled his scoring output.

Agree with everyone. I thought Bohannon’s ball handling was better. But I have no stats to back that up.

I think our end of game/half plays were a lot better than previous years.

J Bo leads the nation in scoring in the last 2 minutes of games and ot this year according to the Cincinnati interview. That's an improvement in clutch time but have no idea about that compared to last year.

I checked his stats. He’s pretty consistent. Sophomore year was best fg percentage but I imagine he was guarded a lot harder this year-

Garza was already pretty good offensive player as Freshman. I'd say he improved, but with him he really needs to become a better post defender and rebounder.

Baer Jr year his 3pt shooting was poor. I think his overall defense/offense was at his best this past year.

JBo improved on defense..rebounding..flopping when necessary...showed signs of a short game.

Cook did improve on defense--but his year of self improvement as perimeter player backfired.

Moss still needs to improve his handles and finishing on his dribble drives.

Dailey lost his shooting touch.

JoeW didn't know anything about defense on his first game and by end of season he was best defender on team, clutch rebounder, willing passer, most complete and only complete player on team.

SpecialK has always had special moments. Consistency and T.O.'s has been his bugaboo.

That was Kraftison's nickname! Nice.

Moss needs to be more consistent. The talent is there but he disappears to much with all the attention Jordan and Wieskamp draw.

Kriener
Weiskamp
Garza

If talking season to season or beginning of season to end of season in Weiskamp’s case.

Agree with this

Ok. I’m gonna say it. The whole damn team was most improved!

Nice call. I know many on here like to make “coaches son” the whipping boy but Connor was a HUGE part of the improvement of this team. He was a capable back up pg. Did anybody watch this team last year when Ellingson was used a backup pg? UGLY. Only thing that played a bigger part in the improvement was the addition of a Joe W.

I think CMAC got better as the year went on. He definitely has the spotlight on him. Seems to play with a bit of a chip on his shoulder/nerves. Maybe he needs a sports psychologist too.

1 - Garza (easy choice, his mid range is good, I expect him to shoot 35% on threes next year)
2 - jbo - hes always been good, but he started to show ability around the rim.
3 - Kriener - if cool does decided to leave we will have more than enough bodies to fill his role. Perfect glue guy.

Garza, hands down

This, and it isn't even close. Not having Pemsl, Nunge, or Fredrick helped us with rotation, but left our bench with very little scoring options. Dailey and CMac were useless on the offensive end but the season is over, so on to next year.
Hope Fran can figure out the rotations next year with 13 players on scholarship. JT may be RS'd but who knows it's way too early to predict who may or may not return or RS.
Wouldn't mind if Connor and Patrick both spend most of next season on the bench. In Connor's case, he'd be better off if he concentrated just on one sport whether it's baseball or basketball.
Splitting his time between the 2 is not going to provide the practice time to excel in either sport and I'd rather see C.J. Fredrick get his minutes next year as he appears to be better at both ends then CMac is. JMO

I know many will say “stats lie” but here’s Garza last year regular season stats compared to this year:
Mins. Field goals. 3 point. Free Throws Rebounds TPS
656. 123-240 55.40% 13-39 33.30% 88-130 67.7%. 75-121=190. 367
645. 135-257 52.50%.18-63 28.6%. 77-94 81.9%. 52-76=128. 365

Assist. Steal. Blocks
34. 11. 32
26. 10. 15

Down in nearly every category. The one that jumps out to me is why so many fewer rebounds? I know he was playing with a bad ankle for a while.

My vote goes to a Kreiner as most improved.

RK-way better than last year.
Jobu-by the end of the season he picked up his willingness to penetrated. Huge for his overall effectiveness.
Luka-stats aren't always the final story. Better defense. Plus, coming in with major surgery and then the ankle injury.
