Multiple Boats in Distress during a Trump Boat Parade at Lake Travis

WTF?! If he really told rescuers he wouldn’t wear a life jacket and he wanted to go down with his boat they should have let nature run its course.

In your defense, real Trumpers can reach the level of delusion seen in this parody.

The problem with doing this on Lake Travis is it is a canyon lake. Much of the shoreline is steep, rock cliffs. Waves from big boats bounce back into the lake making the water very dangerous for small boats. Compound that with the fact that so many people have recently purchased boats and are somewhat new to operating one, you have a recipe for disaster.

I work on Lake Travis, Lakeway. Today was bad. 8am-11:45am: boats of all sizes, a lot pushing weight capacity, full speed heading east from every boat launch they could get to in hopes they don’t miss the people planned to skydive from helicopters. This made the lake as choppy as it gets in bad storms. 11:45am-12:10pm: the calm before the storm. 12:10pm-12:30pm the large fast cigarette boats and cabin cruisers go by. Their combined wakes rock our marina. Boats tied off on the docks closest to the lake move back and forth in there slips harder than I’ve seen in the worst storms. Dock lines are snapping continuously as we retie them, and it’s hard to keep balance as the whole marina rocks up and down. 12:30pm the smaller boats arrive en mass. Hundreds of boats plowing through the water because they are going too slowly to get up on plane. This seemed to amplify the choppy water more than the large boats. It is important to note that at this point the fast boats had now reached the parade’s turn around point and began traveling back through the slower boats. There are no right of way laws on lake traffic so it turned into an absolute cluster **** at this point. People began taking shelter in any cove, dock, marina they could. People began filtering into the boat launch by my work looking either defeated or pale with fear. All the partying, music, and flag waving was over. Every one of them with a story about how that was the most dangerous thing they had done in their life. I just nod thinking, “that’s the second most dangerous thing they’ve done.”

Edit:spelling, times"

Very good report and an awesome quote at the end... This reminds me of tales my Coast Guard brother relayed during holiday weekends in Manhattan Harbor. Lot’s of folks in over their heads during chaotic, unorganized heavy traffic in confined spaces.

So, what's the death toll on the lake ? 75% 80% 99.9%

I'm talking "brain dead".

Put that concentration of dummies in one area, on water mind you, with the conditions described by Thorne, and it's a shame the Orange Turd wasn't on board one of the ships in peril.
Trump would never board a boat. He has a "fear of water". And I'm not just talking drinking from a glass with one hand.

I first discovered that place in 1986 and I always said I might retire there one day and now we are getting closer to retirement and I mentioned to the wife that we need to look into it
Missouri would be a good spot for you OiT...your move would undoubtedly raise the IQ of both Texas and Missouri..
Good luck with the retirement. Enjoy your smokes.....and remember, in Mizzery, when you are wearing both your upper and lower plates, folks might think your being a show-off.,

Some years ago I was partners with an old school guy from Connecticut running an auction house. He was a former Sotheby’s guy who believed in the republican way. Until the dot.com crash smoked his investments....
It was then that he realized, like most, that he was just another small fry waiting to be smited by big money. Even quasi rich are just chum for the big money peeps.

I'm curious how you have so much knowledge about Missoura. (That's how it's pronounced down here).
