Heard Fran may have been at Penn State today for an interview anyone else hear that?
I'm sure Fran has positive things to say about Mulvey, but scholarships are given out on Merit. Mulvey is 6'11 and that is why he
probably he's a scholarship.
UPENN job open....wouldn't be surprising to see Fran end up there. I could see Mulvey and Dimbele going to Penn also and then some of Fran's boys there also.
No, Mulvey deserves to find a place that will allow him to play, 4 years of abuse by Fran is far an away enough for anyone to tolerate, I know he earned a degree, but the way Fran used him this year was criminal. Maybe he wasn't the most gifted athlete but he was a better option in some of the games then Brauns or Dembele. Eff Fran.
You don’t think Mulvey knew exactly where he stood in the Iowa rotation? Mulvey CHOSE to red shirt and still remain at Iowa.

Penn State isn't open. He does really want the Penn job (his alma mater) which would be a good fit for everyone.
Fran always banked schollies so he could give them out like candy to walk on's or Mulvey types to be practice players. He brought back Josh Ogundule for another year after JoshO flopped in the Portal. What is sense in having two Big guys on scholarship that you don't intend to play and aren't on track to ever develop?
Perhaps not, but that doesn’t mean Fran mistreated or “abused” Mulvey. It’s disgusting to even claim that as such.
Fran obviously saw value in Mulvey and kept him around for whatever reason. Cheerleader, practice squad/scout team, or a developmental player, we’ll never know. But I’m certain Mulvey knew exactly where he stood with the Iowa Basketball team.
Like you said, Fran let him stay and red shirt, on scholarship at a Big Ten school. That sounds like the opposite of abuse to me.
Seems like recently every time he was in he did a lot more good things then bad
He did as well or better against 7 foot bigs than anyone else on our team
I never minded when he was subbed in and usually was disappointed when he was sent back to the bench after only a few minutes of game time.
He was not abused but under used by Fran 😑

Yeah, I agree. He wasn't mistreated. If anything he was babied.
