My advise to everyone in the federal government

I am not sure there's anyone Trump could have tasked that would have been accepted. I've asked who would be an acceptable person to do it, and all I get are laugh emojis
They could have followed the precedent from the 90s….
And arleast 2 dozen ways every one of them would have been held up by red tape and nothing would have been accomplished.
Clinton actually did this back in the ‘90s. Put Gore in charge of a committee, it was considered a success.

I laid people off to maximize shareholder value. In your position, you'd never understand how it all works.
Like I said earlier. Someone doesn’t do what you want them to do and you lay them off. Sounds like your buddy Trump.
Meanwhile your other lib friends think it’s unfair. You should probably be paying the people that don’t understand and fvcking up your business.

You try so hard. It's cute.

You're getting it wrong, I'm obsessed with Lunch's obsession with Arnold's putter. It's god damn hilarious. It's like when you read something from the Babylon Bee...only it's actually funny.
Well the bee is supposed to be satire but damn it the left keeps blurring the line between real and cute.

I've made everything clear on this topic. Whether or not you are able to comprehend it based on your experience is none of my concern.

You're probably 100% right, but since Trump is doing it now, I wouldn't expect support no matter how he handles it. He's responsible for the outcome now. If this doesn't work for him...this administration is screwed for the next 4 years, and the left won't need an all-star generational candidate like a Barack Obama to win and win bigly.

Maybe ask your dear leader for clarification. In the meantime:

Yes, he rambled on about AP's big putter. I can't figure that one out either. I understand the reference, lord knows Harris gave us LOTS of sound bites and had she won I'm sure one of us on the conservative side would probably be "unburdened by what has been" quite often too. I'm not trying to be a wet blanket... it's not really funny to me, joking about another dude's wang, but you guys have a ball (or two). Trump will give you plenty of stuff over the next 8 years, have at it.

So maybe where pruning shears are needed for that "mid size business" as is common in every business transition, this growth needed the proverbial chain saw.
What growth? Isn’t it Moore “the size” that bothers you The growth of governmental employees hasn’t really been that dramatic in the past 40-50 years……especially considering how many “federal responsibilities” have been eliminated but mandated to “state and local” governments….In the past number of years, the population is demanding MORE services from their government(s)….not less. Amd they have shown a willingness to pay for these services.

What growth..... but also... these 300 non government organizations are all funded by the government to do the government's bidding.

The numbers have been presented earlier, the government has grown YOY with no exception. The public went through the stress of Covid, now the bureaucracy can feel the results also.

Why should Trump or Musk get unwavering support on something like this, especially at this point when we know they’re not being honest with how they’re presenting their findings.

I don’t necessarily dislike Musk spearheading this effort. It’s HOW they’re doing it. They’re seemingly doing the audit equivalent of chucking grenades into a room and see what happens. On multiple occasions they’ve announced the firing of a large number of government workers….only to belatedly realize that those people actually do work that’s rather important and scramble to rehire as many as possible. That’s stupid and wasteful.

I think a big part of the reason they’re doing it this was is they’re wanting to use the “savings” from this to sell the massive tax cut they’re going to try to pass.

Why is just now starting? He could have saved more of the taxpayer's money by cutting the DoD budget just a little than he has saved from all the other depts. put together.
I'll let them know you have concerns with order of operation, I'll remind you, the doge project is a 2 year project.

Also, we don't get attacked for shutting off funding for the lesbian thespians of Lebanon. Kinda like how you are more likely to sitch to hamburger from steak than run your house at 40 degrees.

See my post above. They did…in the 90s.

But that would require republicans having to admit that Clinton did something right.
Hey, if getting the budget in order is the end result we can Clinton the shit out of those people.

( see what I did there? Now you are wondering if I mean kill them.)

You are running after pennies and letting serious amounts of taxpayer's money (DoD) go out the door unchecked.

Clinton did a lot of stuff right. If you go back and listen to his SOTU addresses, he sounds more like a modern-day conservative than a left wing progressive. That is more of a reflection of where the progressive wing of the democrat party has gone in 30 years than where President Clinton was in the 90's. 30 years ago we still had a country that wasn't so politically polarized and yes the sides disagreed but there was more respect and decorum and just a difference of opinion rather than hard division (for the Arnold Palmer fans here) between the parties.

Yeah, I know.... and you would have had a reason for that also, but you have to start somewhere and again, China doesn't cyber attack the shit out of us while we evaluate the needs of multicultural transgender sesame street in Islamic countries full of inbreeding.

You will be OK, we will get to that line item also.

I hear this a lot - repubs saying clinton was a modern day conservative. Makes me think, back in the 90's who was the political equivalent of Trump/MAGA back then?
