You are Iowa's New AD with a finger on the staff and you are going to force KF's hand to hire some new blood but you know KF only tends to offer people he knows (comfort level).
My nominees for contractual releases are #1) OC GD Greg Davis, #2) WR coach Bobby Kennedy. These guys are long in the tooth and do not motivate (sell the program) high-level recruits. Kennedy may be better than Soup Campbell or Lester Erb, but Iowa's receiving corps has not been a key difference maker except for when DJK and Marvin McNutt played in tandem for Iowa.
The reason for letting Greg Davis goes are obvious. The game is changing and he is not. Iowa's offense has been heavily run dominant and the play calling is more predictable than Gary Dolphin's haircut. Right, Podolak! Okay, Brian Ferentz is the OC in waiting so get it over with and let's hire some who can coach QBs, has some NFL experience and could help with recruiting Texas and Midwest. My answer is David Raih currently Assistant OL coach with the GB Packers. David was a QB at Iowa and a graduate assistant for 3 years, then went to UCLA and Texas Tech before landing with the Packers. David is on a path to an OC or HC in the next decade at 35. Brian should work at a smaller program as a head coach before the Iowa HC job is offered. David could become an OC at Iowa after Brian.

Bob Kennedy is a Greg Davis tag along hire. Kennedy's resume isn't glowing beyond his time at Austin (UofTx). Name dropping AA from a blueblood program isn't that hard a job to work. Kennedy is not looking to advance up the coaching chain and that's not good news for a developmental program like Iowa. Recruiting prowess leaves something to be desired. My choice for replacement: Marvin McNutt. Marvin has a little bit of NFL experience, he was a very good WR at Iowa, he's working as a HC for an indoor football team. He is working with Oliver Martin on his pass receiving techniques. Marvin could be a good recruiter for Missouri (Kansas City and St. Louis area) and Southern Illinois region as Marvin is from St. Louis, originally. Marvin may not the most coaching experience but if he were focused on WRs he could become very good for his knowledge base and any assistant support.

Those are my two replacements. I know Reese Morgan will be 67 before next football season so his retirement may be in the near horizon. I envision Kelvin Bell will be the top consideration as his replacement and Broderick Binns will probably take Bell's spot. Binns playing experience of DL would help Bell's assignment of replacing Morgan. The only other name for DL coach I know of may be William (Billy Ennis-) Inge.
That's my take. I'll gladly read yours.
