It's amazing watching posters here twist themselves in knots trying to support Mace. She's literally one of the least productive members of the House, and has a documented history of being unable to keep staff because she's crazy.

I’m guessing if it was just a handshake the accused will push for releasing it in the event their case goes to trial (which in that case won’t happen because no DA would prosecute). If no criminal trial it will get released when they sue Mace for liable.
Time will settle this as it usually does.
