There were probably 4 Minnesota guys in this game who had their career best game against Iowa. This keeps happening again and again. D up on the players who are actually doing something and forget about the scrubs, for baby Jesus's sake!

Fran is the absolute worst at making in game adjustments. It is so puzzling. I try to tell myself it is easier to see things when at home, but come on. That being said, touisant makes one of two and we win. At some point bohannon has to start hitting or he just needs to play less. Simple as that. I think I need to dial it back and stop being too invested. Too draining as a fan. I bought into the hype but I think it's better to just let the season ride. Time to face the facts. This is another 6-8 seed team. Only because Garza is good. Defense is trash. JoBO doesn’t have it anymore. And the McCaffery boys would be fine at UNI. Not at this level. Fran also should probably be coaching at that level. The defensive failures are embarrassing at this point

I get the whole it’s a long season and blah blah rah rah but this type of loss is inexcusable if you want to be a top 10 team fighting for a 1 seed.
Go hide under your covers. It’s not a devastating loss. It was a tough loss on the road, early in the Big Ten season.
If you don’t emphasize defense, you don’t teach it. If you don’t teach defense, you won’t coach it. If you don’t coach defense, don’t be surprised when your team can’t play it. And don’t be surprised when your teams underachieve because of that.
This 100%. As some posters saying....its not end of world, etc. Well yes.... but if you want to be top 10 and compete for BIG title...you dont drop these games. Makes it extremely difficult in a already tough conference

Absolutely. Will be interesting how they respond, but in a conference as deep as the B1G you can't lay turds like tonight and expect to win the conference. Wisconsin went and beat MSU on the road and we come out flat and lose to a weak MN team
I have been waiting 40 years and it looks like it won't happen this year. If Fran can't win a B1G title with POY Garza and his deepest team since he's been at Iowa, it isn't ever happening.

My question why didn't we foul their poorest FT shooter to prevent a 3 pt shot attempt? To get 3 pts they would have to make one, miss one on purpose, & then get the rebound & a 2pt put back. All that would be difficult, and then an IA victory.

This team was never a contender for a NC. Good team, yes. But this team’s defense is severely lacking. Still exciting to watch, but people need to stop listening to the national Championship speak.
